QUEST TAKEN: MIST CONNECTIONS.
navigating the mistwood didn’t feel as though it’d be difficult. coco knows there are things lying in wait for her, but that’s partially what she wanted. she hated feeling useless. she wanted to do something more than simple tasks. if she can’t use her magic she’d just have to use more traditional means instead.
“ the cobblestones must be this way! ” a voice echoes.
following the noise through the mist, coco catches a glimpse of a girl. a little girl, a book in her hand. a book she could not possibly fathom the danger of. it-- it’s her. even younger than she is now, as if she was pulled from the very instant the world of magic opened up to her. why’d it have to be her? it could’ve been her the moment that awful spell was cast, or when she was powerless beneath the dadah range-- why a child?!
her resolve strengthens, more determined than she was before. coco refused to be responsible for the sparkle leaving her younger self’s eyes. she would protect her.
coco’s life now has been poisoned by magic. she knows not all magic is good. that some magic was made to hurt and harm. she’s seen it. hell, she’s used it. but when she was younger... when she was younger, she knew only wonders. she wanted to keep it that way.
“ alright then. let’s go. ”
