✧ ⸻ THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A BLIZZARD WARNING:

Weather systems indicate a cold front capable of producing heavy snow, gusty winds, and limited visibility. A blizzard warning has been issued for the area surrounding the Arconia, meaning many locations around will be closed due to weather. Residents may also expect some power outages as power lines freeze or snow causes them to fall. Your local weather station predicts that at least 8 inches of snow is possible over the weekend, with temperatures hanging out around the mid to upper teens. Stay weather alert and make sure to bundle if you're going outside, it's gonna be a winter wonderland out there!

However this event takes place the weekend of January 23rd through the 25th for residents.

If there was something that Lottie noticed about people, it was how comfortable or not they were in a room full of people. She was heavily involved in so much of simply understanding people, realizing what made them tick, what they wanted. She'd known Alessandra for years, between their organizations' long-lasting partnership and their social circle, but the most prevalent reason was Luciano de la Cruz, since he and Alessandra were best friends, so they'd shared enough time together for Lottie to read into her date way more than the average stranger.

She offered the other woman a smile and a glass of the same red wine she'd been nursing for most of the night; Château Margaux. "I'd like to say you two don't look like this is your first date." She gestured towards Alessandra's date, who was standing across the room. She'd never met him, had never even heard Alessandra mention him to Lucky in the past few weeks. "But it does look like it. If so, bold move for an event of this scale. I like it."

Emil looked up from his phone, his head count successful this time. Everyone accounted for and breathing, but truthfully he couldn't trust Kurtlar with their security. He wasn't paranoid, he was just cautious. Still, a glass of scotch was in his hand as he walked up to Salvador, eyeing his cane. "I'd think that's, at least, five years too soon, no?" A little taunt never hurt anyone, and truthfully Sal should be expecting it. He turned as he stood next to his cousin, the closest thing to an older brother he'd ever had, looking around them. "You buying any guns tonight? I'm not buying unless there's a bazooka."

Blowing out a huge breath of air, Tinsley puffed, “Phew, it is so much warmer here underground than I could’ve imagined.” Granted, her decorated stingray costume wasn’t made of the lightest fabrics either but something about Oogie’s place made her shiver in a feverish way. Fanning herself as best as she could, she raised her glass and said to the person next to her, “I swear if I was able to reach behind me and pour this down my back, I literally would.” The small blonde forgot to laugh with that so it may have not been all too clear to everyone that she was merely joking.

It was a terrible, terrible idea. Lottie knew this. It always was; simply tied to the fact that they couldn't seem to be able to stop. After multiple breaks, then breakups. It made no sense to her either, how she was able to maintain such control in everything in her life except for this part of it; the messy part, the part with feelings and matters of what she wanted, or who she wanted. And yet, there they were. Attending a public event together. Honestly, she wasn't even sure how they ended up there, but such was the case with most of their relationship.

Nothing ever made sense when it came to Luciano de la Cruz, and at the same time, it did.

She looked up from her phone right as he approached her, looking behind him where his siblings were. "It's cute, all of you matching." It was nothing if not a tease, a way to annoy him, but there was no heat behind it like there normally would, her free hand reaching up to flatten the lapel of his jacket, not that it needed it. She was in a good mood, sue her. "How did you know what I was wearing? There is no way in hell you didn't know and showed up color coordinated, Luciano. So spill your sources, who's the traitor amongst my ranks?"
