Due to consistent growth our client are now looking for a Business Development Director to join the business and be instrumental in growing their great client base. The Business Development Director will have at least 5 years' experience within the live events industry and have experience of selling conferences/live customer conferences/experiential events.The Role: Business Development DirectorAs a Business Development Director you will be responsible for devising and implementing a strategic new business plan with a view to winning fantastic clients for the business.You will not initially be managing, this is a pure strategic new business role. There is a potential to grow a team around you.At the moment our client generate their new business through referrals, growing existing accounts and networking however there are circa 450 companies that they want to target so as a Business Development Director you will look to target some of these companies, set up meetings etc.One the client is engaged and on board you will pass the account over to a Client Relationship Manager and continue your hunting.Reporting directly into the MD of the business.The Candidate:The successful Business Development Director will have at least 5 years' experience selling live events/conferences/experiential events/customer conferences/roadshows.
