And I am finally reading this book! BTW, to send copies like this to your Kindle you gotta pay a fee annually to Amazon so you can store your documents in the Cloud. Honestly? I ain’t about to do that just because I managed to get a freebie, and a choice on what type of file I could download. As said on Ever Shade’s review, you just gotta subscribe and download. Honestly worthy, because I am a sucker to finding out what’s next in store.
Catch the summary below:
Magic & Fire burn... The Serenity of the Land of Faerie is threatened as the Unseelie Queen Aveta rages war against the three remaining Seelie Realms of Faerie. As Shade's powers grow, she finds she is running out of time to keep the war from spilling into the human world. Winter is growing in strength as the evil Queen's horrifying legions scar the land in their frigid wake. No one is safe. Shade becomes enemy number one for the Unseelie legions. Questioning her true role of power, Shade discovers the cost of winning may come at a much higher price than she ever imagined. (less)
OK. Ever Fire was an easy read, but it’s not those type of books that picks up right where it left off. A few weeks into the future, same boy troubles, meeting new allies, rediscovering old ones. And pretty much, this book was a roller coaster of emotions. Not those strong kind of emotions, but it was a sweet read for a Sunday night and what was left of a Monday after ending myself at the gym (so not bookworm related, but IT’S MY LIFE, IT’S NOW OR NEVER, I AIN’T GONNA LIVE FOREVER… — not sure if the lyrics are like this, if not, consider this my new motto.. by Larissa). Not gonna lie either that I have picked book three right after reading this… and being a bit more honest: I already started reading it. Yes, and I am writing this too. I am on fire.
So, I know this isn’t your typical review, but.. what bothered me was that Shade is our main character. It’s her POV. And out of the blue for a paragraph (or two throughout the book) the POV changes without warning. I am kinda OCD so I like being notified of such change. There were a few mistakes, but as I said before, on another review, I’m a fast reader… speed reading, it’s called. So, my brain does the job, but pausing this reading as many times to live my life throughout Monday, I caught these tiny mistakes. But…
It’s worth reading, yes. The plot is intriguing, although there are tons around (but who cares?!)… the humour and what is gonna happen line will keep you turning the pages and picking up the next book.
Or so I hope. Scroll some more for the bunch of snapshots I had made.
Read with iPad, Kindle app. I did read it opening the file on my email… still don’t know how to put it online to sync across devices…

Thank you for taking your time reading this review and see you all on the next book!
So guess what Im probably bringing back while working on Cirque du Minuit.... Yuuuup, Ever Fire. I ain’t promising shit though, good luck ever seeing a comic out of me.
Ever Fire update
updaaate!!
I always feel like its so much text when in its a word document then I put it on DA and its literally nothing. But its been awhile since I wrote a chapter. More on the way, don't loose faith in me just yet. (I say but no ones interested anymore XD )
and in case anyone was wondering... Sound track (and by soundtrack I mean songs I listened to repeatedly while writing) for this chapter would beee:
Sail/Awolnation
King and Lionheart/Of Monster and Men
Shake it out/Florence and the Machine
Dug this out of a sketchbook earlier today, gonna color it tomorrow when I get off work. I need to work on Ever Fire more...
Ever Fire update!
I was stuck on a transitioning part for the longest time, trying to catch the end of the chapter back up with the beginning but had to give up on that little venture. Too many pages, not enough stuff syncing up...
Also, I thought I was working on ch.6 but this is actually ch.7. Where has my brain gone. XD
Linnnnk
Also if anyone interested in an written intro to a comic I'm working on you can read that on DA here too.
I think I finished ch.6... Why does every one of these chapters end in a cliff hanger kinda? Is that normal when writing? I feel like its not but I may just be over thinking things? Ugh.
I am getting grossly attached to Emily and Turmerics weird parent child relationship.... Ugh... Trying so hard to make this story actually good and no just a jumble of stupid little things I think would be cute for my characters....
