GINGER TEA ❧ Do they enjoy their time in the city?

While she’s met a few cool people in the city, Rosemary doesn’t particularly LIKE living here yet. She’s not a big fan of change, especially not big changes like leaving her universe. It took her a few years to actually get used to living in the United States and it may take her just as long in Hive City. 

Still, she does have some fun times here. The city provides her with opportunities she’d never been able to see before. Some of the people she’s met have left imprints in her mind — whether that be positive or negative.

LEMON BALM ❧ How often do they think about home?

She’s nearly ALWAYS comparing the city to her home. It’s fairly normal for her to do this since she resided in Brooklyn for a while, although she even compares the city to her hometown. It’s difficult to make peace with the major changes and some nights she falls asleep hoping it’ll all be a dream.

☣:What has been your most difficult challenge to face or overcome during your stay?

“This whole thing with Battlista. I thought that they wouldn’t last long, but then say their body count was rising. It just got worse when knowing that one of my friends from back home, my boss, and even Kotoura was hunted down and murdered by them. I can’t let that fly.”

“So I’m renouncing the promise I made to Kagara when he died not to kill anymore humans. These assholes don’t deserve to walk around and destroy people’s lives for the sake of their own amusement. But what I’m doing it not for a great cause. Not for ‘heroic’ efforts.

I’m doing it because I’m pissed as all hell that this shit is happening.”

Gamboge - Would they rather leave Hive City or stay?

He would leave in a heartbeat, without a moment of hesitation. Kevin is the type to do things impulsively for his own selfish need, not thinking about the consequences until they are shoved in his face afterwards. Although his situation may not even be that bad right now, and is probably better than it would be if he was still in Africa, on the mission he is supposed to be on, he would complain to the ends of the earth about Hive City. He has high expectations for himself and a glorified image of what he’s supposed to be doing right now, and he is bitter about being forced to settle for less.

     He heard heard -- nearly smelled her -- before entering his office. As soon as Hannibal caught sight of her turned back.. his russet stare locked on, cold as ice. Not only was she intruding, but she appeared to be ever so graciously taking what she liked of his belongings. From ancient relics to pieces of art..

     Such behavior could not be tolerated.

     With his recent return to Hive City, Hannibal had found himself liberated of a responsibility towards social norms; ethics, in particular -- though as he liked to think.. ethics become aesthetics.

     Slipping off his shoes, he swiftly came up behind her. His socked feet remained silent as the stranger stuffed more of his precious items into her bag. She barely had time to react before Hannibal Lecter grasped her by the face-- and stifled her with a cloth. His hold remained firm.

     It would have been far simpler to snap her neck and fry her heart -- but she had yet to learn the price of such ill-bred behavior.

        Witnessing fights among this city started to make things feel more like home. The only thing it needed now was for someone to start a fight with Isabela, and it'd be perfect. She didn't have a reputation like the one she'd earned back in Kirkwall, and for that she was mostly glad, but at the same time, it felt a little lonely. She stumbled across many arguments that happened and a lot of them turned ugly very quickly, but none of them were any fun to watch, at least not like the things that went on down at the Hanged Man.

She could just about remember some of the people that were drunk and beating each other with chairs, but that was a story for another day.

Another fight happened, another fight finished, and Isabela found herself leaning against a nearby wall, heaving what felt to be a tired sigh. Glancing over, she noticed a young girl, an elf by the looks of things. Whilst she wasn't aiming her comments at anyone in particular, hopefully she would get a response from this one. She didn't know if she watched the fight too, however, the commentary was enough to strike up conversation.

       "Sad you know. I thought the one in red was going to win. Teaches me not to bet on the cocky ones, huh."

❦ In The Unknown, Wirt had already seen his fair share of strange and disturbing things. Most of which he would rather forget. It wasn’t that he was scared or anything. He was a tough guy. Well, he liked to believe he was. However, what he had seen was just straight up gross most the time. And the whole concept of some of it brought chills down his spine. 

That was why here he wouldn’t be making any mistakes. He wasn’t gonna trust anywhere called Pottsfield. Nor was he gonna trust any talking animals or birds or anything of the sort. This time he would ask a reasonable looking human for help home. Not one with a stupid lantern. Just a normal, run-of-the-mill guy.

Ah-ha, there’s the ticket. Walking up to his new-found trustworthy person, Wirt tapped her arm. Once he had grabbed her attention he spoke.

“Um, excuse me mam’m...If I could just...get some directions out of here that would be really nice. Just point me to the nearest exit and I’ll be out of your way.”

Fenris was starting to get used to the advanced build of the Hive, the phones, the cars, and the tall buildings. It was all so surreal to him a few days before. He supposed that he was able to adapt so quickly due to what Danarius had put him through. He gave a soft sigh at the thought of his old master.

What a disgusting man.

He stepped out of his apartment buildings and began to roam the streets. Someone had been so kind as to tell him of a quiet little park. They said that he would probably like it, since he enjoyed silence so much. He had ignore the possibility that it was an insult.

He followed the directions he was given and soon reached the park. It was nice, he thought to himself. No one talking over anyone else, just the sounds of leaves rustling and birds chirping. He allowed himself a small smile before stepping towards a fountain. 

“How extravagant..”
