Another night spent reading. Honestly, when a fanfic author takes the most basic of ideas, the most genuine plot line out of the source material, and then blossoms 100K+ words out of it, it's magic. It is still fanfic, still the same characters with their distinctive traits and quirks and relationships, but in the hands of the right writer it becomes even more. I spent the night reading of kings and betrayal, demons and monstrous men, death and blood and whatever else... And this is nothing like source material, but it's engaging as fuck and so well done. Well done AUs are fuckin magical. One day I'm gonna write like this. One day, these fanfic authors will be selling their work and I'm gonna buy all of it. This feels rambly bc its 5:30 in the morning and I haven't slept all night. Now I'm not too tired but I feel like I should attempt to sleep... Or I'll just find something else to read, lol.
