Trying to concentrate on your writing session when suddenly the mount behind your apartment starts to catch fire.........
the hot water faucet just straight up flew off while i was washing dishes and. uh. something something a family of four people three of whom have jobs shouldn't be so poor as to not be able to afford a new faucet?
I was about to head to the post office to mail something to my mother and coincidentally jumped on NRK to do my morning news read and the first story is that my local post office was robbed at gunpoint less than an hour earlier...

DAY 3 : a memory
The first one that comes to mind isn’t exactly a pleasant one but I’ll tell it anyway.
A couple years back almost all of my siblings were sitting in my mom’s car in our garage. My mom had run inside to grab something which you’d think would be fine. But the car wasn’t parked so the car began rolling down our driveway. We lived on a hill so the car just started to speed up. It was really scary. My first instinct was to open the car door and get out but my siblings are young and have the safety seats and stuff so if I did that I couldn’t get them out. My oldest brother was in the back with one of our youngest brother’s he immediately grabbed our younger brother’s head. He was afraid that we were going to crash backwards into the trees and his instinct was to protect him from any head injuries. The idea of that still makes me want to cry. Fortunately the car turned and rolled into the street (no cars were there thankfully) and I had managed to throw myself into the front seat and hold the brake with my hand. My mom obviously found the car and she just got in and kept on with her day like we hadn’t just experienced a traumatizing moment.
Everyone was okay and I hold no grudges it is a fun story now I guess. My mom was simply in shock and didn’t know what else to do and didn’t want to freak out my younger siblings who didn’t really comprehend what had just happened.
Today I learned to not give charging dogs the benefit of the doubt; just take the pepper spray out and get 'em.
