I KNOW there’s a writer on The Pitt who reads so much angst fanfic. I can’t prove it. But actually episode 10 says I can
First post here and I’m already on the isat insanity
None of this is in any particular order of discussion. If it wasn’t obvious this is a post canon infection au caused by some mix of the change god being a crab, and some craft side effects from mirabelle reflecting the king’s time craft.
Warm weather makes horrible things happen
Yk what fuck Yul-Bayur and get the fuck out of that place rn
my experience even ATTEMPTING to start a claim for personal independence payment has been abhorrent.
i can't ring them up myself because of The Autism, so i waited for a day that my dad already had booked off work (for his physiotherapy) so that he could call on my behalf with me present in the room, which was this wednesday.
we called them up around midday and they were able to have my dad tell them my name and my national insurance number before telling him they were having miscellaneous system issues or some bollocks like that, and telling him they'll have to ring him back within the next 48 hours.
of course this is a problem for me and my dad because he works in a factory. his supervisor isn't exactly going to look kindly on him being on his phone at work while he's surrounded by heavy machinery and blades. so, the only option was for my dad to schedule the callback for 4:15pm on friday. he gets off work at 4pm on fridays as opposed to the usual 4:30, so it would give him enough time to get back home to take the call and give the people at the call centre enough time to take all the necessary details before they get off work at 5.
my dad gets home on friday around 4:10pm. i sit with him in the front room, my medical documentation in hand, and we wait. 4:15 comes along. no call, but sometimes you have to give or take a few minutes so i let it slide.
more time goes by until eventually it's 4:30 and this supposedly scheduled callback still has not happened. my dad decides to take the initiative and call them instead. after nearly 10 minutes of automated waiting room bullshit, he finally gets through to a human. they take my name and national insurance number. what do they say? that because they already got those details on wednesday it already counts as an existing claim and that we have to call the inquiries line. would've been nice to hear that two days ago. the lady says it's the same number but a different route, so we call again.
crock of shite that was because there was no such route with that number. turns out it is an entirely seperate phone number, so we call that one instead.
my dad faffs about with the automated "press 1 for poopiedookie whateverthefuck press 2 for a pipe bomb through your letterbox" bollocks that call centres put you through and he seemingly cannot hear any option relevant to our situation, but obviously because i'm not the one making the call i can't verify that, and it's basically 5pm by that point anyways so there's shit all we can do regardless.
basically, i have no idea how to proceed. i don't know if there is a solution to this problem. all i know is that it seems as if i have been softlocked out of recieving PIP at Quite Literally the first hurdle. most people at least manage to get to the assessment part before getting royally fucked over, but i'm not even afforded that small bit of grace apparently.

The urge to just drop out and leave it all behind is backkkkkkk……
So I just watched episode 11 of the Pitt season 2 and
