I’ve had to go on a lot of farm placements for my degree, and there’s always the starting period where the farmers are trying to sus out if you’re cool and if you’re competent (the female experience here), and part of this means they give you the biggest helmet they can find and then jump on a bike/quad/horse one with, like, thongs and a cowboy hat and I just vibe with it

I also like the emphasis on safety that quickly deteriorates and becomes ‘ok, your job is to take this fuck ass horse that is barely broken and run up the back to cut off the fuckn heifers who have run off, and if you die make sure you scream or we won’t find you’
