I love your vision of Avery, it's exactly how I imagined him! However, as a fan of Bailey, I just need to see your sketches with him. Or what kind of relationship he has with Esther? This is really interesting!
They used to have a good relationship, esther was particularly attached to him at a young age. Liked that he was someone who didnt care about how weird her hobbies were (bugs at the time) (to bailey shes just another weird orphan kid. so he doesn't car) reason no.1 on why she gets along with people older than her more than people her age < esther especially feels betrayed by him bc she genuinely thought he cared for her, (*he does not, cares more about her sale value/how much money she can make him, honestly) < why adult approval matters so much to her < this is why she really instills it in herself that avery doesnt care about her, that she shouldnt hope for love back even if she gives it freely, ie if he could hed probably sell her for one corn chip or smth. < i would consider him her first love, but really i think its more of a puppy crush < uses an old phone of his as her phone bc it feels like the last connection they have together when they used to get along, when that thing breaks avery replaces it with a phone that matches his
rn they dont get along at all. esther hates talking to him, but still cant get herself to lie, or upset him.
