Evren is an accomplished musician, frontman for the band Evil Maria, and a Grammy award winning mastering engineer who has spent the last three decades thriving and surviving in the Los Angeles music scene. With wisdom and humility, Evren tells us about his unexpected journey into employment at one of Los Angeles’s greatest landmarks, Capitol Records, and what the Viper Room was like before it was the Viper Room. Goknar has worked with the likes of Kiss, Carole King, Mariah Carey, and my all time favorite band, The Smashing Pumpkins. If you love music, then this is the episode to listen to, as Evren’s twenty five year history in the City of Angels is rich with stories and encounters with some of the world’s greatest legends, Ringo Starr and Paul McCartney included.
