Writing Prompt

You recently have been recruited to join the most well known superhero team in your region, a team you and nearly everyone has looked up to. Your superpower is something you always considered dangerous (e.g. earthquakes, creating explosions, etc) but you’re elated at the prospect of learning how to use your powers to help others. It’s only after one of your first “gigs” with the other heroes when they destroy half the downtown of a city and then blame the entire disaster on you that you realize you were recruited as the fall guy, their scapegoat. The superheroes turn the entire city against you, effectively naming you the city’s own Villain. 

You decide to get even with the alleged “heroes” and bring them to justice. And what better way than to use your new role as Villain to do just that.

One day, an ordinary civilian accidentally learns the secret identity of the city's most powerful and beloved superhero. Fearing that they may revel their identity to a villain, the hero frames the civilian as a super villain. They issue a fake warning that they are trying to destroy the city and are incredibly dangerous.

Now, through no fault of their own, the civilian is being hunted down by every hero and police officer in the city. They must find a way to escape before they're caught and locked away in the super villain maximum security prison, or worse, are killed by the hero to ensure their secret never gets out.
