The foreboding red and black symbols translate to "Danger — Rot", warning that matter and space may be unstable here, while the signatures of "Elvis" scrawled all over the sign suggest that there are plenty of Evlises wandering the premises. Some look almost exactly like Elvis Presley, while others look like abominations. No matter how vehemently they insist otherwise, Evlises are not the real Elvis. They are the spawn of a mad, Elvis-obsessed universe known as the Elvis Cube Universe.

Evlises appear to be biologically immortal and replicate by emitting spores, which sometimes germinate into new Evlises if they happen to be incubated at around 98.6°F. Although they generally don't have any ill intent, Evlises could possibly overrun entire cities if left to their own devices, so the sapient beings who govern the Teeming Uol often deport them to so-called Evlis Exclusion Zones (EEZs). Most EEZs are not-so-coincidentally situated in areas with high rates of Rot activity.
