the inevitability of change

Change doesn't just happen in our life but also to media.

- From newspapers, we can now access infromation through articles online by using our laptop, computers, phone, etc. Nowadays, I can rarely see people holding a newspaper on their hand.

- From handwritten love letters to long sweet messages. We can still feel the butterflies whenever we receive these but accepting real love letters, we can feel the sincere love and tenderness.

- From listening to radio stations, we can now listen and watch on television. We can find 24-hour news channels, as well as music videos, documentaries, and reality shows about everything.

Media has been in our life for decades and it evolves as time goes by. We can see how a lot has changed.

I want to share my own graduation quote to all of you;

"In life, changes are bound to happen. After we fall, you stand up, heal, learn, grow, change, and the cycle goes on." :)

Handwritten letters was once the medium of communication, keeping in touch or informing someone so far away, but as time goes by, our tools of inquiring information have developed.

And now we lived in the information age where it paved way for faster communication due to the invention of technologies such as mobile phones, computers and etc. Just one click away and you're able to communicate to others.

Personally, I would still love to give and receive handwritten letters from my loved ones despite the advancement of technology, because someday I'll look back and through these letters I'll remember the feelings I felt before.

According to John Donne, "No man is an island". This means that everyone relies with each other and what better way to ask help than through communication. Communication is our bridge to everyone and everything. Ever since the pre industrial era up to the present, we have our own way of getting in touch with each other. May it be through cave paintings, letters and through social media.

There's a world that we ought to find.

The Cassette tapes were the first technology that introduces us to music. Back in the days of 1990's, Cassettes is where people find pleasure with. They collect and listen to music with this with their Cassete recorders or players.

Now in the 21st Century we have what we call the spotify that almost have all the music you can find. Including those of the 80's.

The Evolution of technologies really is that amazing. Before, you have to find those music in cassette tapes that you'll pay for just to hear. Now with the technology more evolved, you can find those music for free and it's not that hard to find them.~♪

The Evolution of Media

The study of media history is important in the understanding of people and the societies. Through the study of the past we gain an understanding of what and why things happened. History gives you back your past. In the same way as individual people need memory to shape identity and plan for the future, communities need history to give dimension and meaning to the present. Without an understanding of the past, the present doesn’t make much sense.

Therefore the media play an important role in society as a source of information, but also as a “watchdog” or scrutinizer. … However, the media is free to select the stories they consider important or interesting. Therefore, the media is often perceived as an influencer of public opinion.  

Media plays very a important role and has influence in virtually every aspect of our lives. It is considered as the best source to know about the happenings of world. … It greatly affects our lives because media has the power to influence our thoughts. This influence is sometimes positive and sometimes negative.
