i am so late (like it is time wise for you when im sending this and hoping you’re asleep /lh) replying to your bus story but oh my gosh, I’m so glad you’re okay too even if I know it was years ago!! i absolutely would have panicked during that. i could not imagine being 14 and dealing w something like that... i was 18 when the tractor incident happened and i was p much non functional ahskdhs,, im not sure i knew what a taxi was at 14.......
buses are the worst, honestly,, also, maybe it’s just a me thing, but I could not figure out buses in the uk. I was there for at least a year and i knew all the trains, but i just avoided buses like the plague if I could. literally every time I’d get on, it would be like “this bus is now rerouting-” and it would take me to somewhere on the other side of town ahskdhs
we don’t really have public transport at all where im from since it’s so rural, so living in the uk and europe was just such an experience lol! it does make me feel a lot better someone else has a bus related horror story, although i am super sorry you went through it and then i then not only made you read about an Italian tractor but also made you relive that story omg

i was indeed asleep when you sent this!! hahah i was pretty tired all of yesterday from staying up for the stream, so i crashed earlier than usual (lmao i had a work call yesterday morning and i was aware i probably looked exhausted so i dimmed my lights and blamed my webcam acting up when someone asked why i was so dark,,)
definitely not just you with the buses!!! i actively avoid them in London even though they’re cheaper because the tube is just, much less stressful to navigate somehow? but yes my american friends have told me that in the states even in cities the public transport is often not great apparently (and that for americans driving like 3+ hours to go somewhere is nothing??) the house where i grew up was like at the edge of a big town so though we did have buses they were so temperamental and i was late to everything all the time (including one of my GCSE exams whoops)
hahaa despite my concern I very much enjoyed your story djdksk, life’s all about gathering crazy tales to tell and i love hearing other people’s stories like this! that being said i hope neither you or anyone reading this ever ends up in situations quite that insane (again)
