Okay so like Gangsta started out as such a good anime and I loved the cast and the plot was so good and I couldn't wait to watch the next episode unitl... there wasn't a next episode. Just like that, it was over. No resolve, no reason, no indication that this was the season finale. I feel empty and I feel cheated because we may never get that second season and I'm stuck. I don't know what's going on and I am left with so many questions. There's a hole left inside me that wants to know how this all ends and who's still alive but I may never know. So I love you Gangsta but I also truly hate you for leaving me like this.

Though as much as I love Korrasami and find that the pairing just -works-, it does remind me of Squall/Rinoa; it's pretty darn abrupt (though Korrasami has actual chemistry), but ohhhh lawd the directing at the end of Korra and FFVIII are so perfect that it just SELLS the romance. Like I have a hard time imagining anyone that hates those pairings watching those endings and not getting emotional and cheering just because of the music and cinematography alone

#i really really really hate the squall/rinoa pairing and never find any of their romantic scenes convincing #EXCEPT that ending #it makes me cry every time the camera pans over to squall smiling at rinoa #korrasami is similar in that the direction and music etc makes up for #the comparative lack of build up (next to say kataang)#(which is understandable- theyd have to have fought to get in any subtext for a f/f couple lol)#korrasami works where squinoa doesnt for me cuz korrasami has excellent chemistry however #they meshed perfectly while squinoa felt way too opposite to attract imo #(sorry if this ends up in the tags btw)

Saddest character death

Ummm. Hm. Probably the one at the end of Cryoburn? I think the way it-- and the epilogue especially-- was done was the best part of that book, and one of the most emotional moments of the whole series to date.

(Addendum to Day 10: My actual least favorite book was Cryoburn. Captain Vorpatril’s Alliance might have been least favorite if I didn’t like Ivan so much.)
