Esquimo Suit and Sunrises

Realized that on Saturday is ‘hug an exchange student’ day.  Math class is having a test so I am in the Library, making tweeks to my American presentation. Day already started off great. 

Today is like my ‘Friday’. Tomorrow I am going (with Rotary fam) to see the La Moneda, which is equivalent to the White House. Excited except that we have to wear our white Rotary shirts. At least their not that bad. Would have preferred a regular white t-shirt than a collared one. I will also where my ranger accessory to complete my outfit (for Maja, my German friend). 

Actually dreamnt last night with 4 hours of sleep. It was about falling in love with someone on exchange on an island. Hm alrighty then. 

This morning, I had that baby food mix stuff. It’s getting old. My host mom asked if I liked it, I told her not a lot. Meaning... let’s go buy something from the store. And as weird as this sounds, I’m trying to get used to how close everything is. She makes both me and my brothers lunch in the morning so she’s always in the kitchen. Honestly I don’t like people watching me in the kitchen so I just made something quick. 

Anyways, really pretty at school - the sunrise - but cold af. Where my esquimo suit be at....

Easter Island: Paige Returns

Back home from Easter Island! I will upload the photos & videos very shortly. I am sick because I didn’t wear a lot of warm clothes during the few days of wind and rain. I stayed home today, slept until 4, but woke up periodically. Had cookies for breakfast. I know, I know ~ Not a fan, but nothing was in the house of my interest. For lunch, I had some good ole Nestle honey miel mix. (Aka baby food) And today Logan W (From my Montague school) confronted me about something. Very shocked.

Feel a little better, especially to have water at easy access & to sleep. Oh, skyped Dad today! I miss Halyard :( so sad he tore a muscle.

Anywho, going to school tomorrow (technically today) Wonder how it’ll go.

TOO MUCH SKYPE?

I FOUND OUT

 TODAY I FOUND OUT IN SPANISH CLASS (IT WAS CYBER MONDAY) WHO MY HOST FAMILY IS AND WHERE I WILL BE STAYING, O M G. 

I’m going to  Peñalolén which is a small sector in Santiago, Chile. 

It’s April 20, 2015 @ 3:08 PM ! I am home, tried to stop at a friends (Baylee’s) but sadly she was not home. I even bought 2 pieces of good chocolate cake!

CLOSE TO KNOWING MY COUNTRY

It's the third of February, 2015.

 It's at night - I'm doing homework, but at the same time I'm thinking about what country I will be told I'm going to spend one year in. Sweden. Denmark. Italy. Spain. Any. Country. Please. 

Tomorrow is the official last day that I will go without knowing my country. In some way I'm going to embrace it because I've spent these last couple months crying and laughing of joy and worries about what country I'm going to be going to. And after I know my country, I can't 'un-know' it. It's not a bad thing, I just want to remember these feelings because I hope it will be something I can look back on for hope. In other words, I want to remember how much this exchange means to me. 

I pack tonight for Canada because tomorrow is a busy day with FFA activities. (I'm the time-keeper!)

12 MORE DAYS UNTIL I KNOW MY HOST COUNTRY

Hey! I had a great talk with my Dad tonight about my exchange. 

I will know in less than 12 more days... Whoa. Still feeling the same from the last post, but more curious. I'm proud to say that I am A-Okay with my top ten. I was super worried that I was going to have a certain mindset on a country, but that's not true. 

I told myself, 'Of course if I don't get Sweden, that's okay! Maybe when I'm older I can go there. But if I get the Faroe Islands then that will be an amazing experience!' 

Yea, trying to be as optimistic as can be. Well, when I find out my country I will begin the fun part; language.

This is enough for now, just wanted to update. ☺

I want to go to Sverige or Danmark! But of course if I get Italy, Spain or even the Philippines... oh my word. I just want to travel, meet people, love and live! Those are my top two. It's only been 1 week since Kettunen : I miss everyone! I think I will try to make plans with Kristine or the Philippine girls in Traverse City. Hopefully that works out. 

Feeling excited for the upcoming holidays because it will distract the fact I have to wait 3 months until I find out my host country. I don't think waiting will be too bad. But I will try to keep a positive mind!!!!
