Suji releases second solo mini-album “I’M″

Fuse’s Suji has made her comeback as a solo artist with her second solo mini-album! Suji’s most recent musical pursuit was a collaboration with Knight’s Taeyong (and featuring Unity’s Sunghee), “Some”, which topped the charts, but the release of I’M marks the singer’s first release as a solo focus in her music since winning last year’s singer-songwriter competition Our Songs.

I’M continues in the lineage of Suji’s solo releases to allow a deeper look at Suji’s style and artistry as an individual outside of her career as a group member. I’M, like Suji’s previous releases, doesn’t let the listener forget her vocal prowess while also delivering a complex emotional journey. Tracks like “Love In Color” and “When I Was Young” bring out the idol’s nostalgic side, while “Better Babe” and “Fire” show off her power, before “Feel So Fine” closes the album as a parallel bookend to the album opener “Fine”. Suji had a hand in the composition of five songs on the album, taking the reins fully on “Love In Color”, as well as the lyrics of five songs, with Suji as the sole writer of “Fine”, “Fire”, and “Feel So Fine”.

The mini-album’s title track, “Fine’, is an emotional ballad that’s classic in production, but driven by guitar, powerful vocals, and a strong pop melody. The music video’s narrative shows Suji struggling as she tries to move on from a past love. “Fine’” will be promoted on music shows for two weeks and b-side track “Better Babe” will also be staged for the first week of promotions.

Suji and Taeyong release collaborative single “Some″ featuring Sunghee

Fuse member Suji and Knight member Taeyong have collaborated to release a new single. Released today, the two vocalists sing together on “Some”, a smooth pop-R&B track about the feelings of two people in a “some” relationship with each other. Unity’s Sunghee makes a featuring appearance on the song for a rap verse following the same theme. The lyrics of “Some” were written by Taeyong and Sunghee, and Taeyong also helped in part to compose and produce the song. Suji and Taeyong will be promoting the song for a week on music shows.

Our Songs releases finale solo tracks

base TV show Our Songs has released the final tracks composed by the show’s cast for its finale onto streaming sites today! The EP (Our Songs, Part 5: Solos) has been uploaded on streaming sites with the four songs, one solo song created by each of the contestants. At the same time the songs were released on streaming sites, each contestant’s company uploaded a music video for the song. Previously, duets were released from the finale where two pairs of two contestants out of the final four were paired together. Voting has opened up on the show’s website for the public to vote for their favorite solo track. The voting will help to determine the winner of the show alongside audience votes.

Our Songs releases fourth round duo tracks

base TV show Our Songs has released the new tracks written by the show’s cast for its final  round onto all major streaming sites today. The EP (Our Songs, Part 4: Duets) includes two songs created in pairs by the final four contestant contestants. Origin’s Joohwan and Fuse’s Suji are paired up while Unity’s Jaewon and Knight’s Taeyong are paired as the other duo. Voting has opened up on the show’s website for the public to vote for their favorite track. The voting will help to determine the winner of the show’s final round alongside audience votes.

[NEWS] Fuse’s Suji releases solo OST for The Beauty Inside

The sixth part of JTBC drama The Beauty Inside’s original soundtrack has been released onto streaming sites today ahead of the airing of the twelfth episode tonight. For the latest part of the soundtrack, Fuse’s Suji sings “Goodbye”, a sentimental ballad.

The Beauty Inside airs every Monday and Tuesday night on JTBC.

Our Songs releases first round tracks

base TV show Our Songs has released the first tracks composed by the show’s cast onto streaming sites today! The show was announced earlier this month to begin airing this upcoming Friday and fans have been steadily offered a peak into what to expect over the last few weeks with the release of teaser images of the cast and the release of special cover videos by each cast member.

As of now, an EP (Our Songs, Part 1: Identity/Introduction) has been uploaded on streaming sites with the eight songs created by the contestants for the first round of the show. Voting has opened up on the show’s website for the public to vote for their favorite track. This will be the first round of voting to determine the winner of the show’s first round.

The winner of Our Songs is crowned on final episode

Last night, the finale of base TV’s Our Songs aired. The final four contestants, Knight’s Taeyong, Origin’s Joohwan, Fuse’s Suji, and Unity’s Jaewon, gave their final performances and the runner-up and winner of the show were announced.

Fuse’s Suji was announced as the winner of the show, making Unity’s Jaewon the runner-up. The results were based on both live audience votes after watching their performances as well as online votes after the release of their tracks online. Fuse’s Suji had collaborated with Origin’s Joohwan to release “Heart Stop” and her final solo song was “I Go”. Jaewon had collaborated with Knight’s Taeyong to release “City Lights” and his final solo song “Jasmine”.

Suji releases “Dark Cloud” ahead of solo album release

Before the release of her second full-length solo album Unstable Mindset, Fuse’s Suji has dropped the album’s pre-release single “Dark Cloud”. “Dark Cloud” is a slow build rock-tinged ballad that grows from pensively solemn at its beginning to intense with the help of Suji’s powerful vocals by the end. Fittingly for the song’s heartbroken tone, the music video shows the emptiness, loneliness, and hurt that come in the aftermath of the end of a relationship with the imagery of Suji applying bandages to reminders of the past. Suji is credited as the lyricist and one of the composers for the song.
