It's so hard to reconcile the boy who had to hide in a bathroom before a concert due to anxiety, who got ripped off when he sold his songs, who had to choose between spending on a meal or a bus ride home, who grappled with his identity as a rapper and a person and struggled so much to get to where he is today, with the persona of the terrifyingly intimidating genius artist behind an absolute masterpiece of a mixtape like Agust D 2, who has now become the standard of his own genre; a legend in his own era. But when you do, when you know the other darker half of it and see him now, you feel so much fierce pride, endearment and honour that you were able to witness his journey up until this point.

And that's what we're all feeling right now, while watching the Daechwita MV or listening to his mixtape - an overwhelming sense of awe and an overwhelming sense of pride in the paradox that is Agust D/ Min Yoongi.
