Yuanjun & Hyunsoo release BC Portal song “Awake”

CHARM’s Yuanjun and Hyunsoo have collaborated in a new single released through BC Entertainment’s wing of the Portal digital music project. The main dancer and main vocal both made their solo debuts last year with the singles “Feel Good” and “Wayo” respectively. “Awake” has a different sound than both CHARM members have shown as solo artists. The song sees Yuanjun and Hyunsoo taking on the deep house genre. Hyunsoo participating in helping to write the lyrics for the track.

Yuanjun releases BC Portal song “Lit”

CHARM’s Yuanjun has released his second solo song as a digital single through BC Portal! Yuanjun made his solo debut earlier this year when he promoted the summer-y “Feel Good”. His new song, titled “Lit”, is Yuanjun’s first attempt at a Mandarin track of his own and, musically, the song blends trap rap with more traditional instrumentation. Visually, the song’s music video is cinematic, resembling a fantastical period drama interwoven with scenes highlighting the idol’s dance ability.

CHARM’s Yuanjun covers Ray Li Young’s January issue

CHARM’s youngest member Yuanjun starts the new year off on a positive note with his first solo cover shoot for the Chinese magazine Ray Li Young. The magazine cover signifies the next step into breaching his native market following the release of his Chinese-language Portal single “Lit” released early last month.

The photoshoot channels a new side of Yuanjun, showing him in trendy and edgy styles that seem to fit well with the image set by the “Lit” music video and the darker concept CHARM has been portraying with their latest comebacks.

In the interview accompanying the photoshoot Yuanjun reveals he’s excited to branch out and take on more activities in his native country and discusses his childhood in Tianjin and how it prepared him for the idol life.

Yuanjun releases debut solo single “Feel Good″

CHARM’s Yuanjun is the latest member of his group to make his solo debut with his new single “Feel Good”! “Feel Good” is an upbeat hip hop track perfect for its release in the midst of the summer season. The music video allows Yuanjun to show off his bright and youthful energy with its colorful visuals. Element’s Sun composed and helped to produce the song and Yuanjun choreographed the dance for its performance. Yuanjun will be promoting the song on music shows for a month.

CHARM’S Yuanjun announced as the new face of Banila Co.

After a successful run at being one of the faces of lilybyred late last year, it shouldn’t be a surprise that CHARM’s Yuanjun is beloved by make-up brands all over the nation. This time, it’s cosmetics brand Banila Co. that announced Yuanjun as their new face, making him one of the very first male faces for the brand.

The news was shared earlier today through the brand’s website. A representative of the brand shared in a statement that they’re looking forward to working together with the young idol and that their goal is to show a whole new side of both Yuanjun and the brand during their time together.

COLLA3ORATE releases “Go″

base’s COLLA3ORATE project has released their next special single, “Go”! “Go” is a hip hop-EDM track exemplifying the confident rebellion of youth through its lyrics (which were contributed to by Fuse’s Suji). The music video was filmed on the streets of Los Angeles with a similar theme to the song’s lyrics. The project group includes idols from all three companies that have come together for the formation of base, notably CHARM’s Yuanjun and Dai, Unity’s Jaeyeol, Origin’s Dawon, and Impulse’s Xiwon.

CHARM’s Yuanjun launches his own YouTube channel

With five years and counting, CHARM is well on their way to establishing themselves as a global boy group. Several members have begun branching out and as their youngest, Yuanjun has not fallen behind. After a successful collab with Lucid’s Jeonghwa earlier this year, showing a new side of himself with “Roll Deep” he’s yet again stepped forward with a new project, his very own Youtube channel named Studio Jun.

Yuanjun revealed the channel after sharing a link of the introduction video posted on the channel on CHARM’s social media account. In the video he explains that the main focus of the channel is to give more an insight into his life through vlogs and behind the scenes videos. Yuanjun also shares to want to use his platform to express his creativity, strongly hinting at the possibility of dance videos being uploaded to the channel in the future.

Jeonghwa and Yuanjun release collaborative single “Roll Deep″

Lucid’s Jeonghwa and CHARM’s Yuanjun have released a collaborative single! The two rappers have collaborated for “Roll Deep”. On the electronic hip hop track, Jeonghwa confidently boasts of her jealousy-inducing status and Yuanjun’s verse serves to back up her claims. The neon color palette of the music video is a backdrop for plentiful shots of Jeonghwa rapping and dancing and Yuanjun appears for his rap verse as well. Jeonghwa is credited as one of the lyricists on the track. The pair will be promoting their collaboration on music shows for three weeks.
