...a little voting drama at the Lomita, CA precinct... . . . The electronic ballot scanner stopped working when the frllow in line in front of me handed in his ballot. He just laughed and walked away. . . . NOT. ME. I told the staffer that I am happy to wait as he reboots the computer, during which the growing line of voters behind me started chatting about the probability of the low wifi bar strength of the wireless system, the fact that it's probably a pc not an Apple system possibly being the problem... I drew everyone's attention to the fact that the predominantly republican leaning district where we were voting has provided the registered Democrats with a malfunctioning machine. . . . I post this photo not to just show I voted but to be proud I can vote. I had my father, grandfather, great grandmother and mother tell me of the stories of what it was like growing up fighting for the right to vote. You don't have to like either candidate but you do have a responsibility to show the next generation what voting is all about in our community. To sit at home means you only think about yourself and not the future of your children and their kids. Yeah life will move on but not standing for something means you stand for nothing.
