Hacker Rabbit Exia
Made the other design for Exia I kept mentioning in her lore posts, the more “Angel accurate one”. This one was more based on choir uniforms and the like. Compared to the other CB Gundams she is meant to be the poster child and so takes more from the angelic / religious aesthetics she’s named after.
The other fit is equally canon btw, maybe more of a mid Season 1 thing.
Exia from Goddess of Victory: Nikke!
HGBFT 1/144 Gunpla Battle Custom GN-10000 "Transient Gundam Glacier"
This was a bit of a side build that I picked up cheap while looking for paints and tools. The Transient Gundam Glacier is a manga-exclusive redesign of Build Fighters Try's main antagonist suit, the Gundam Glacier, based on the old HG Gundam Exia.
This is essentially a remodel of the Glacier tooling, re-using quite a few runners and substituting a few extra parts with 2 trans-purple runners that recreate the unique crystalline profile of the Transient Glacier. In-universe, the Transient Glacier is a copy of the Glacier, built by Lindsey Anegaozy in the spin-off Gundam Build Fighters Honoo Try (making it so surprising that this got a retail release).
As a build, there isn't really too much to remark on. You can tell that this expands on the old Exia mould, with somewhat limited head, hip, and knee articulation. A lot of the kit is detailed with these really nice trans-purple parts, which replace some of the included extras vestigial from the Gundam Glacier kit. These clear parts are very vaguely UV reactive and turn a slight red under strong UV light, but unfortunately they don't glow at all.
There's no necessary colour correction to speak of, with only 2 colour correction stickers, however to give the kit a little extra oompf, on top of panel lining, and some limited metallic weathering, I also added some UV-reactive green marker to the main camera sensors, and some UV-reactive orange/red to the torso GN Drive and auxillary accumulators in the knees. I'm not sure which colour the GN particles are meant to be for this machine, but the orange glow gives such a nice contrast with the purple, both under UV light and when just on display.
I also added some gold accents to the GN Partizan II handle. The kit includes two of these, and they can be separated into two individual smaller weapons, although most of the example poses show it with both full weapons.
Unique to the Transient Glacier are a set of serrated "wings" on the backpack, that don't appear to have any functional role but resemble somewhat the "wings of light" effect of the original 0 Gundam.
The kit is designed with the intention of display on an action base, as the feet are somewhat small and don't properly support the weight of the backpack. There's an included runnerless stand, which I ended up sticking with as the design of the thighs make thicker action base adaptors a poor fit.
The kit is reasonably poseable, with most of the limitation coming from either the GN Partizans clashing with the backpack during poses, or the crystalline accents on the legs clashing with one another. You can pull of some great passive poses, but anything more dynamic is tough to pull off.
Overall, this was a super fun quick build, and I feel like it rounds out my current collection quite well. I definitely reccomend trying it out if you find it in store.
