ok, I can't anymore, I need to ask you. Regarding this: "Hunk and Keith used each others’ names within Acxa’s earshot in s2e9. (“Keith! You made it!” and Keith yelling Hunk’s name while he’s distracting the Weblum)" WHY do you think they used general frequencies? It is be logically to assume that a team of freedom fighters would use some kind of coded channel while on missions, or they can kiss the stealth goodbye!..

My thinking is that this is narrative simplicity given the visual medium and target audience.

Basically unless it’s plot relevant to do otherwise, they’re having the coms act like just them talking. Also in s2e9, Hunk lowers his voice and leans toward Keith rather than shifting out of general frequencies to have that conversation. It’s probably just for narrative convenience and the assumption is it doesn’t travel any further than normal unrestrained speech normally would unless, again, they’re doing something special like Beta Traz that called for more stealth.

So: Out of universe simplicity is the answer!

A bit of MORE angst - imagine in a Kuron scenario real Shiro coming back to the team just to learn that Keith sacrificed himself.

It’s too early in the morning for you to hurt me like this (I say as it’s like…noon). I want you to think about what you did and — oh who am I kidding, I love angst.

LISTEN. I’m like 100% sure that in a Kuron scenario where Shiro came back to learn that Keith sacrificed himself, Shiro would crumple in on himself and just — fuck, it would hurt him too much to bear.

I don’t think Shiro would play the blame game on others — he would totally understand why Keith did it and accept that this was Keith’s decision — though I do think there’s a chance he’d feel partially responsible for it. I see him as this long term thinker who absorbs things in this really extensive big picture way. Like he’d probably be thinking all the way back to the past where “If we hadn’t even gotten close, none of this would’ve happened.” BUT he would also recognize the fact that none of them would even be this far in their efforts of winning the war if it weren’t for Keith. I think he’d be really torn up between these two ideas, and more.

But I think ultimately, if he loved Keith romantically, this self-sacrificial aspect of who Keith IS is just one huge thing he knew he signed up for, one that makes him love Keith all the more. And heck, he probably loves that about Keith whether it’s romantic or not in canon. There’s a reason they’re such close friends and I’m sure it’s because they have this silent and mutual understanding of each other and what’s at stake for the universe and the greater good.

If Keith’s sacrificed had succeeded, I think Shiro would do all he can within his power to make sure it was not in vain. Maybe he’d think about Keith every time he looked at the sun, close his eyes, and remember a boy who was so devoted and intense, he burned too brightly for the rest of them to hold onto.

Do you think that Lotor and Keith could be dorky adventure pals?

I actually really dislike Keitor or any Keith/Lotor interactions that seem to be shone in a positive light so I can’t in any way ever see them being buddy-buddy or romantic or anything close to partners because Keith can’t excuse Lotor for his actions and Lotor isn’t going to turn on a dime and pull a Zuko so no I really can’t

this is a really old ask for an even older ask meme that i never got around to answering before, I’M SORRY

i’m having a few high-functioningbpd!viktor feelings tonight so this is what you get, i hope it’s ok

the banquet where viktor ran into & had to talk to the sponsor whose career viktor swore he’d ruin >10 years ago (viktor never got around to it), and viktor smiled fixedly and something went blank behind the eyes so yuuri, who had no idea about any of this but could feel viktor being Off from all the way across the room, came and put his arm around his fiancé and leaned on viktor all through the conversation till viktor felt like a part of reality again

the competition where viktor messed up one of his most consistent jumps and proceeded to rage-improvise the rest of his program. everybody watching was overwhelmed & in awe & delighted by the return of the Fire in viktor nikiforov, but yuuri smiled at viktor as his scores appeared on the screen and the world slowed down, righted itself, felt a little steadier

viktor nikiforov is very charming. very collected, put-together, self-confident. a joy to interview, a gift to fans. exemplary in fan encounters. it feels like a turbine churning the same water over and over again. viktor comes home and (shamelessly, unhesitatingly, without thinking about his actions) crawls into yuuri’s lap and puts his face against yuuri’s soft tummy and closes his eyes and his mind goes blank, but in a completely different way. a better way

the time yuuri climbed into viktor’s lap and smiled down at viktor like he knew everything that was going on in viktor’s head and loved him anyway and cuddled viktor’s head to his chest and kissed the top of his head and sighed, contentedly, like this was all he could ever want

the time viktor snapped ‘don’t act like you care, yakov!’ and skated off to the other side of the rink before yakov had time to react, and yuuri slid up to viktor and said, quietly, ‘skate figures with me?’ and viktor did

Someone I used to follow thought it would be a fun idea to harass McAvoy on IG. The reason? They are completely wrapped up in their hate for a movie they haven’t seen, but they’ve been told by other people who haven’t seen it either that it is a bad bad, morally reprehensible movie and now everyone in it and whoever likes it has to be punished.
