so the deal was that if i wanna do something kinda risky like for example replacing the stupid windows emoji with the much nicer android set i can do it on my old laptop since i got a new laptop because my old one was pissing me off so much. and if anything goes haywire it's fine bc the old one is only being used for writing because despite everything she's my bestie we've crafted such beautiful stories together. and i can always do a complete factory reset boom done.
well it's been smooth sailing until this fine evening. because it's showing NO emojis in the channels or anyone's name. for the crime of /checks notes/ downloading the discord app???? I KNOW IT'S THERE. if i copy paste in the chat it shows [name] [emoji] [url] so it's right fucking there and it's just not showing up. so it's just lying to my face...
as a result i really think i might kill someone tonight
