I just really want to share this 2015 oc revisit this wip wednesday. This is her durinf the events of FF7 (remake parts included).
Someone's gon a notice her looking and Cloud and be like "oh she likes him - they say our pupils dilate when we see soemthing we love" . But she's in a pwrma state of "i am grieving mt dead brother, i'm grieving my past, i'm having to lie because cloud's memories are whack, i'm grieving the cloud lost because his memoeies are whack, and I'm grieving me" so her smiles are sad and tight and never reach her eyes 😔 also she nearly went with a revenge plan that was self-sacrificial to destroy shinra for everything they did. Also her jumper is never gonna be 100% clean ever again, because deep in the fibres is her brother's blood so... also cloud's somewhere. Did i mention she was hellbent on revenge for three years? I have now!
The brief synopsis:

The short synopsis:
Her name's Phoenix Fair. She was stolen by a Shinra Lieutenant called Justin when she was 3. She grew up in Nibelheim. The Lieutenant became a Captain, his wife was really nice. Anyway, she died (i think i had Justin kill her? .... that's gonna change) so Cloud's mother took her in when Justin wasn't home. Then she goes to Midgar with Cloud because 1. She wanted to. 2. She promised his mother she'd call him a silly goose and keep him grounded 3. She wants to find her brother. But, alas, she couldn't get into the entertainment industy like she low key wanted because Monsieur Justin found her, forced her to enlist, and then work backroom politics to get her into SOLDIER :/ at least she found her brother though, so swings and roundabouts? Then there's thst kinda like... teenhood first relationship she has with cloud (can't remember how that started, but oh well) and then Big Traumas happened for like... six (ish?) Years straight 😅🤷🏼♀️ wouldn't be me
Longer synopsis continuing from the brief:
So she think her brother and cloud her dead. Oh no! Turns out they aren't! Yippee! But they are in mako tanks - oh no! Her britber's fine -yay! - but cloud 100/10 is not (... look i have a history of the tragics being my go tos shhh). He hasmako poisoning! Five years worth! But at least he's alive! Negative is um... her brother dies, Cloud's memories go hookly pookly, and he forgrts they were an item 👍🙃 So, really, for all of Remake and parts of Rebirth Phoenix is having to grieve many things at once, and um... WELL let's just say she's accepted The Facts and is having to process the fact she had to let it go when BEHOLD! She was misreading everything and he has the vaguest recollection and they get back together big time!
BUT OH NO! IT'S SHORT LIVED! He goes a bit cray-cray thaks to Sephiroth. And then until the 3rd part of the remake comes out, I don't know entirely what happens on her side but followinf the OG she tries to find a cure, only her brither's sourot's kinda like in her head and at thst point she's barely styaing saneherself because everything's been ripped away from her WEEKS (i think) after the last time. 10/10 thinking she's going bananas herself. Anyway, he gets cured and then happy ending?
ONLY IT'S NOT!
Because Geostigma happens and anyone with mako enhancements (Like SOLDIER's) is garuneed it and it's a death sentence so... oh no! But Cloud goes into hdiing and she's like "...? Okay no we'reboth gonna die, might as well die together 🤷🏼♀️" and off sbe goes searxhing for him, BUT COMPLICATIONS BE AUSE SOMEHOW SEPHIROTH RETURNED so... she calls Cloud a silly goose and kisses his head because um... 🥹 this is me. I am nothing if not predictable. Anyway, they save the day, get cured, and then are ACTUALLY together-together like... uh... somewhere between 7 and 9 years after their first attempt? I don't remember the time between ff7 and ff7:ac.
And then i domxt remenber muxh of anything abiut dirgeof cerberus, but i know they're actually successfully rogether for onxe without drama except... well... the war? Attack? Skirmish? I think it's a war... and i think i had them as parents? Because i'm predictable? Obly they kinda had those like teenage promjses and ideas andplans that you think will happen and be forever so like... full circle? Anyway.
Her scars!
Her cheek and lip i cannot remember. Cheek's a few months old and her lip one is relatively fresh though! Probably from rescuing folks from mako tanks. glass goes ouch. Top of her shoulder is from escaping the sector 1 mako reactor, and the other one may or may not have been a very very very long katana pinning her to the ground (thanks sephiroth :/). Bicep was just from a monster fight. She has A LOT more though.
A quote i just came up with that i've decided she says... end of ff7 or in advent children somewhen when cloud's being, well, self-punishing really:
"Since I was three, my decisions were never made by me, always another. If there is just one choice for my life that I get to make, it's to be by your side."
