EXO Reaction to their S/O trying not to cry when they’re proposing

Chanyeol: He would propose to you on the day you guys first met because he wanted to make it special for you so you wouldn’t forget it
“We have been through together, through fun experiences and tough moments. And I appreciate everything you do in life that will make you grow and will also inspire me to grow as well. Will you marry me (Y/N)?”
When he sees you sniffling and holding back your tears, he starts to worry as if you were to scared to reject him but it wasn’t that. You were emotional to his words and couldn’t help it. It took him a few moments to understand that and he gives you a hug.
“Yes!”
Kyungsoo: He is very shy when it comes down to expressing his love for you so he planned to have these little cute mini pastel sticky paper with arrows on it all around his house leading to you on the balcony, roses lying everywhere with a candle lit dinner.
When the two of you enjoy the dinner he made, he’ll go on one knee and say the words he always wanted to say to you.
“We started out as best friend and then later on boyfriend and girlfriend but would you also be my wife, (Y/N)?”
You were so speechless and lost for words that you didn’t notice a tear spilling out from your eyes, his hand wiping it off as he smiles when he sees you holding back your tears. When you say yes, he immediately smiles and kisses you.
Kai: He would bring you to a fancy restaurant that set the romanic mood so he can pop the ring box. To be truthful, he was trying so hard not to let his nervousness show but you already noticed it and asked him what’s wrong.
“(Y/N) I know this very unexpected but, will you marry me?”
He could see the tears building up in your eyes and he wipe it off, feeling his tears strolling down on his cheek when you said yes.
Sehun: Oof he’ll be so extra when he proposes to you. He’ll call you to meet him at this lake that you guys go to lake at night to chill together. It’s not super windy at night so he starts to make a heart shape with the candles lit, putting them neatly in the sand. When you saw the candle lit hearts, you covered your mouth in surprised when you see him holding a 6ft pastel pink teddy bear that says “will you marry me?”
You yelled out yes, covering your face as the tears were coming out. Sehun would run over to you to hug you and chuckle, finding it cute before he would bawl out tears too.
Chen: Mans hella cute with his proposal. You and Chen are at the kids park at night with sparklers having a fun time. What you didn’t know was that Chen had bought a ring 3 months ago, wanting to propose to you but never found a time where you guys weren’t interfered with work. So when he got the chance, he gave his sparkler to you and was on one knee, asking you to marry him.
“Yes, yes , and yes!” You squealed and was jumping around the place, not notching that the happy tears were sliding off your face. Seeing this, his heart melts from the joy raiding off of you and would run around in the park with you with sparklers in his hands.
Xiumin: He would propose to you under the shade of the old tree where you guys craved your first initials on the tree with a heart shape outside of the initials a long time ago.
“I want to spent the rest of my life with you (Y/N). Will you marry me?”
You couldn’t say yes because your emotions got the best of you. You nodded vigorously and he was shaking due to him bring nervous if you said no. You smiled at him and gently kissed him, caressing his face when he starts to tear up with you.
Lay: With a flower bouquet in his hand and a ring in his other hand, he goes on one knee, seeing your eyes widen in shock.
“I can’t imagine what is life without you (Y/N) so will you marry me?”
You said yes as tears stung your eyes. He would be taken back but quickly recovered and smile at you, already imagining you in a pearl white wedding dress got him super duper happy.
Baekhyun: He would send you little snippets of videos of him telling you were to go inside the house and walk into the direction he ordered you to go in, making you feel very anxious and nervous for whatever he has plan something out for you. You gasp when you bumped into him, seeing the ring that he’s holding sparkling in the dim lights.
“You’re so precious to me and you have no idea how long I wanted to do this. So, will you marry me (Y/N)?”
You quickly say yes and jumped in his embrace when he signalled a hug from you, feeling your tears wetting his shirt but he didn’t mind. You were happy and he planned to keep on making you happy.
Suho: On top of the rooftop of the school you guys both went to, the sunset was showing up and it was Suho’s cue to go on one knee and bring out the box that held a very beautiful ring that left your mouth hanging out.
“I want to cherish all the little things with you from now on. Marry me (Y/N)?”
You cried out yes and tried not to cry but it was too late as tears bursted out and Suho held you in his arms, his eyes enchanted by your pretty face, even when you’re crying.
