So, this is a popular gif I’ve seen used a few times. Cayde fighting the Cabal at the beginning of D2 as we make our way through the Tower as it’s under attack.
So, you see those doors? Those aren’t just regular sliding doors in the Tower. If you look at the design of the core once they’re opened, you’ll see they’re meant to take serious impact. They’re also a good eight to ten inches thick judging from looking at Cayde leaning up against one. Those are blast doors. Blast doors, on average, weigh about 450lbs a piece. And these ones are pretty big, so I’m guessing they might weigh a little more than that. And the Cabal sent Cayde stumbling into one. He wasn’t really flying, he was just stumbling. And Cayde’s body not only pushed the door back, but knocked it off its track and jammed it.
Just a little FYI for anyone wondering how tough our boy’s body is and how strong he is. STUMBLING BACKWARDS, without even trying, Cayde lifted 450+ lbs.
