i never shut up about this but nothing angers me more than seeing people use reptiles as room decor rather than animals who deserve actual good care. they’re gorgeous little creatures and not playthings. i own three little froggies and plan to take care of more reptiles in the future and nothing warms my heart more than hearing my male frog humming, which means he’s healthy and thriving in a safe environment that i’ve been creating for them for the past month or so. my two female frogs don’t hide from me anymore, and aren’t afraid to be little assholes and nip me when i take a second too long to feed them. even if the reptile “lacks the part of their brain that feels love”, they still experience the feeling of trust which i’ve definitely seen with my little dudes, but despite that it doesn’t mean you should neglect them. the type of frogs that i have are “low maintenance”, but it doesn’t mean i’m not actively caring for them every single day. just PLEASE do your research before getting any reptiles/exotic animals!!
alright dude
A menagerie reminds us that the world's greatest beauty lies not in sameness, but in astonishing variety.
