Happy 20th Anniversary, Leroy & Stitch!
Well, admittedly, it's still not quite so happy knowing that this film was the last time the late Daveigh Chase voiced Lilo (the later release of the episode "Link" notwithstanding), but to see that the entire complete original Lilo & Stitch saga is now two decades old is still something to behold. Leroy, despite being a red unreformed Stitch doppelgänger limited to just his debut film in the original canon, has nevertheless become beloved in his own right. He's even been making inroads on the merchandising front in recent years! (Pops! Pins! Plushies!)
Speaking of which, it's been recently revealed that he's even coming to Disney Lorcana in 2027!
We'll see more of him again on Leroy Day!
Realized that I never shared the coloured version of my Stitch design!! So here he is!!
And as extras, I designed gijinkas of both Angel and Leroy, so it's only reasonable I share them as well lol
I have to finish colouring Jumba and Pleakley but I'll be posting both of them with colour once I finish them!! And I have PLENTY more gijinkas I plan to design, such as Hammywheel, Gantu, Reuben, etc etc
Day 5 of LGBT headcanons in my fandoms for pride month: Lilo and Stitch
Stitch is bisexual
He's just too flashy to be straight, I'm sorry. Also, he's my comfort character so he can be whatever I want.
Pleakley is femme leaning genderfluid and omnisexual
All those arguments about "Pleakley is a trans woman" "Pleakley is just a crossdresser", why can't he be both? Why can't he be man and woman?
Jumba is bisexual
Can you say chaotic bisexuals?! Stitch takes after his dad. Jumbleakley are totally dating and Jumba is blindly supportive of his boyfriends gender journey.
Gantu is pansexual
Again, I'm just projecting because I love Gantu. Gantu is a hopeless romantic who doesn't care about the gender of his partner, as long as their loyal and give him gifts.
Bubbles is gay
I headcanon that Bubbles is married to a man, but nobody knows because he keeps his professional life and home life completely separate. One day, several years down the line they find out he has a husband and are like "How come we never know?! Since when?!" and he answers "20 years. It was none of your business."
Reuben is bisexual
Idk, I just feel like he had a crush on Gantu...
Leroy is pansexual
This came from a fanfiction I have about one of his clones and the clone is pansexual and in love with Sample.
Angel is biromantic asexual
This one is mostly spite. I love the idea that the temptress femme fetal character is not only not straight, but is asexual too.
Sparky is agender and aromantic
Look at that thing. No gender, only creature.
Hamsterviel is gay
I am a firm believer in Jumba and Hamsterviel being bitter exes. Since they give us so little of what actually happened with them, I can say whatever I want. Jumba does seem to have had bad luck with romance in the past...
【The experiment (Chapter 1)】
【tips:English is not my first language, so if there are any inappropriate expressions, I hope you can point them out in time, thank you for reading this.】
Because I was dissatisfied with the sequel, I started trying to create the follow-up plot myself. The current plot timeline is after Leroy & Stitch, I planning to start by updating the daily life of the Interplanetary Federation. If it can make you happy, I will be extremely honored.🙏
This guy needs redemption. With 627 I could understand unless Jumba reprograms him like he did with Felix but Leroy didn’t have a choice. He was considered bad from the get go cause he was meant to be Hamsterviel’s henchman (or men rather). He is the enhanced replica of one of the most dangerous experiments—his predecessor 626, but the difference is that it was a huge issue cause there were 50,000 them (approximately). Leroy didn’t have time to explore the wonders outside of his programming, find love, friendship and a family like Stitch and most of his cousins did during and after all that.
Since the number of clones is just an “approximate number”, I had an idea or a head-canon where all the Leroy clones were captured except for one who somehow evaded the great battle and realizes now that Hämsterviel’s reign is over, he realizes he is free and can do what he was properly programmed to do. Lilo and Stitch eventually find him and he probably gets into a brief scrap with Stitch again, but in Lilo’s eyes, she believes there’s good in him. Instead of surrendering him to the intergalactic police, she wants to try and befriend him. Eventually this works and Leroy learns to become sort of like Stitch’s younger brother. I guess Lilo gets another “dog” cause it makes sense, yadda yadda. I actually had a huge fanfic idea about this a long time ago! I didn’t have concept with the rest of the Leroy clones though.
Surprised we didn’t get that kind of redemption or at least another appearance of Leroy(s) in the spin off cartoons. I haven’t watched either of them but I’m pretty sure 627/Evile got some kind of one in the anime? Either way, it’s a missed opportunity cause I like the idea of Stitch having a brother, the attempt to rehabilitate a mirror of himself: just becoming something better and recognizable than being Stitch’s shadow of what he used to be or the personification of a what if scenario if Hämsterviel captured and owned him.
Happy Experiment 629 (Leroy) day!
Today is the Koa tree!
