Calm actually reminds me a lot of SGFG as far as them pushing themselves and experimenting with a lot of different sounds/ideas but I think it works a lot better now than it did then because not only do they have the creative control now but they know themselves better. It feels more authentic. SGFG at times feels like kids playing dress up.

Photographic installation on rice paper of variable dimensions. The photo installation is accompanied by experimental  photo book and cd sounds created by the musician Jeff Cobbold The photographic prints are on rice paper creating an organic work that moves with the sound. The set of the work is variable according to the specifications of the room.

In February 2026, the Cities and Memory 'A century of sounds' installation was launched at the Pitt Rivers Museum in Oxford. My piece 'A centroid with Chocó' created in collaboration with Nicky Rushton, forms part of this collection featuring 100 new audio works by 100 artists based on a selection from 100 years of the Pitt Rivers' audio archives.

We, the artists, worked with one field recording each from the collection and developed our own interpretation of the recording.

Many of the archive recordings have not been publicly available until now, making this project particularly unique. You can listen to all the original recordings alongside the new interpretations through Cities and Memory.
