Looking for Exploit Founders fans to consult with!
Hiiii Spoke & Jamato fans, I need your UU knowledge for a quick project. Especially people who have rewatched Spoke's pov of uu
My quest:
Find all instances of the exploit duo talking about each other / mentioning each other / heavily implying each other in any context throughout UU
How you can help:
any timestamps of any such mentions in all of uu -> send them in (comments, messages, reblogs, asks), any input appreciated! i might credit you as well
What for:
A compilation of uu exploit founders (all interactions, mentions, implications) I was requested. Like my 26-hour compilation of UU!Wifies. I might make that a Jamato compilation too
I'm not sure about messaging you all directly, so I'll tag the exploit founders tag regulars: @spokes-wormhole @daily-spokeishere @corruptvoidz @semifontos @houndbitexx
ik some of you may be more artists than fans of them but your audiences are probably my target audience
IM STARTING WITH DEVIOUS DUO BC I HAVE SO MUCH TO SAY ABOUT THEM EEE!!
Okay so baseline, Devious Duo has not be a healthy friendship for a LONG time, like, Spoke has been manipulating and lying to Mapicc probably since Mafia Arc, and has kept on doing it till now. Like this was coming, none of us were surprised by this fallout, but oooooh my goodness did it take some beautiful twists.
I am OVERJOYED of the exemplar tragedy Spoke has made himself into, because what do you mean he was always meant to end up like this, what do you mean he worsened his own fate by trying to avoid it? Like that is the most Greek tragedy to have ever tragedied.
Now, Jamato did set the stage for Spoke to spiral and for Mapicc to turn against Spoke, however Spoke was the one who acted out all the scenes, directed the stage. All Jamato had to do was follow them around, be mildly useful, and just when Spoke was pushed to the brink, give him a seemingly perfect opportunity to end him. And Jamato was able to plan how it would happen because Spoke used the same trick twice, went invis, pretended to be someone else, and Jamato read him like a freaking book. The level of 5D chess in this episode was insane, it had me thinking Spoke was just- assuming Jamato was doing all these bad things too. Like- OUGH, masterful use of narrative manipulation and untrustworthy narrators, like yes, make me doubt you, make me think you're crazy even when you're right.
Jamato had the situation under control the entire time, even when Spoke didn't immediately agree to follow him, he was still able to adjust and eventually monopolize on Spokes spiraling, which was fueled by Jamato being calm, by him being inactive. All Jamato had to do was be there and it sent Spoke into a frenzy. Mapicc being purposely let loose was the icing on the cake, because it was the perfect bait, Jamato knew that also from the first time he kidnapped Mapicc. The perfect bait, someone who didn't even realize they were a pawn in a game.
Oh this is like the director all over again isn't it- oh.....oh noooooooo
Anyways-
The fact it was Mapicc who broke Spokes chestplate? Could not have been more perfect. I was expecting Jamato to do it, but it shows that Jamato doesn't need to get his hands dirty, is able to force Spoke into a corner without taking direct action. All he had to do was tell Mapicc the truth about Leo and give him armor. And Mapicc could not have done it any better.
Onto of Mapicc breaking Spokes chest plate, when he popped Spokes totem and realized he was the invis guy, you can just hear the disappointment in his voice at first, like- Spoke's his friend, sure, he lies and manipulates and hurts others, but Mapicc thought that since they were friends, Spoke didn't do that to him, Mapicc thought he was the exception, and when it turned out he wasn't, he was disappointed, not in himself but Spoke, because he thought Spoke was better but he wasn't. And then Spoke calling him a follower, insulting his friend with what is probably one of the few honest things he's ever said, because Mapicc is a follower, he's followed Spoke blindly, questioned few of the things his friend has done, and now is being used like a pawn by Jamato. Like dang, Mapicc deserves to go on a villain arc with how he's being treated this episode, just a pawn in a chess match.
What really made me break was Spoke's tiny little sorry to Mapicc as his friend got led away to the Nether, like- oh my goodness, Spoke is actually shattered right now, he's hit rock bottom. And when Spoke tried to tell Mapicc that the Null fighting him wasn't his plan or anything, and Mapicc didn't believe him because why would he? Why should Mapicc believe Spoke after everything, after he now has to contemplate how much of his friendship was built off lies and deception.
I really hope Spoke actually becomes better and takes a step away from the lying and manipulating, especially after his time in the maze where he realized that he is literally the maker of his own doom, that every action he ever did led him to hear, how foolish he was, how short sighted. Like this is him at his worse, I so desperately want him to get better now.
There's a quote that really fits what I'm thinking for him:
For a star to be born, there is one thing that must happen: a gaseous nebula must collapse. So collapse. Crumble. This is not your destruction. This is your birth.
TIME FOR SOME SILLY THINGS!!
Cookie/Emma is now one of my favorite UU characters, I adore her so much, I hope so desperately she does not die, she brings me so much joy. Her voice is a treasure, AND SHE WAS ONE OF JUMPERS SPIES!! I love and adore her.
Jumper was literally the only person who was remotely sane this entire episode, she was rightfully suspicious, rightly angry, but oh her trust in Spoke hurt. When she was telling Cookie about why she doesn't work under Leo anymore and then how Spoke is better and more trustworthy, AS SPOKE WAS GOING INVIS TO KILL JAMATO!! Like queen, please find yourself some friends who will not manipulate you or use you for your skillset. Pls, I'm begging, you deserve so much better.
THE KING IN YELLOW REFERENCES ARE MAKING ME UNWELL, WHAT DO YOU MEAN THAT BIOME AINT RIGHT FROM DAWTDNE?? I WANT OUT OF THE BUILDING!!
The maze at the end of Spokes video has to be inspired by Maze Runner, a dystopian novel about a bunch of teens being stuck in a maze that is constantly moving and adjusting. Idk- or it was just a maze but it felt really similar to how the Maze Runner movie depicted it.
Okay okay- one last thing. Or two.
Jamato has reached the point where he has gone too far. Creating Null to rid the server of trappers and griefers because he thinks they may turn into Spoke? Too far, I would be so much more inclined to justify his actions if it was JUST Spoke he was going after, if Spoke was the only objective of Null, yes, okay, I can understand that, but Jamato's suddenly too far into his own mind, now he thinks that making the server better isn't just saving it from Spoke (which is a WILD statement, might I add, like making your entire purpose to stop your own creation), but also saving it from people LIKE Spoke, AKA trappers, griefers, and most likely any exploiter Jamato does not approve of.
And you know the most sick and twisted part of it? Jamato is on a path to become what he was sought to destroy and I will revel in his downfall. Exploit Founders you are so DOOMED and I LOVE it.
Anyways, I need Mapicc and Jumper to go on a week vacation and figure out how much of their lives were lies, for Spoke to take some time and reflect on his actions while not actively spiraling into insanity and depression, then for him to struggle to gain a single ounce of respect back from any of his friends.
This episode was a brick to the face, thank you for giving us cinema king <3
