Being awake is harder than it should be, but Leo’s had her fill of sleeping. 

A coma isn’t really ‘sleep’ and yes, SHE KNOWS the technicalities, but it’s still annoying all the same. Physical therapy, to get her body back into condition is even worse, because it HURTS, and it exhausts her even more. 

But closing her eyes is fucking terrifying, right now, and she’s not here for it. 

The doors swing open, and Leo glances up, from what she’s doing- it’s a leg lift exercise that Dr. Carlyle had recommended- the ankle weights are a pain but she knows why he wants them done. 

But the younger Ryder twin’s expression goes alight, when she sees who’s entering. “Nora! Hey! Don’t suppose you’re gonna jail break me?” Please. PLEASE jailbreak her, she’s gonna scream.

yumi plops herself in a chair next to the pathfinder,  expression OPEN and easy.  sure,  she could be working in a lab several times the size of the ONE on the tempest,  but there she wouldn’t get to stand on alien soil,  or run away from alien creatures trying to eat her.  it’s far more FUN on this crew.         ❛   little request,  pathfinder.  could you please ask suvi to STOP eating my plant samples?  a) she ends up in medbay,  and b) i kind of need them.  even if it’s funny to watch her sometimes.   ❜

she sits next to this dejected form of her sister, worry knit into the pale slope that marks her brow.    instinct calls her hand to nora’s shoulder    --    a quiet reminder that solitude need never be her only answer.
