My solo show entitled “Gratuity Included” in Washington, D.C., during the Focus on the Story International Photo Festival is happening June 7-10. 

What you'll see are photographs from over 7 years of crazy events and parties I have sought out or have been asked to shoot. To say that some of the predicaments I got myself into were uncomfortable at times is an understatement. Many of these situations were in direct conflict to how I was raised in a very religious and conservative household. But like a moth to a flame, I kept going back for more wondering what makes some of these people tick and why I am drawn to some of the extremes I witnessed.

But morality and social norms be damned. In the end this is an unapologetic series about people from all walks of life being true to themselves in the moment. If only all of us can be true to ourselves (and free from judgement), it would be a beautiful thing.
