Uncouth Rant: The Fifth [on extraterrestrial life]

Today's rant will be pretty short because I don't have a lot to say about the subject and I don't have terrific amount of time to say it:
Statistically, there is probably other intelligent life out there.
Statistically, we should have found it by now.
Also: The phrase 'intelligent life' always tickled me. As a very smart man, and role model of mine once said: "Do I think there is intelligent life on other planets? Well I was a professor of Earth Science in a university for fifteen years, and let me tell you...There's not much intelligent life on THIS planet."
