Epic Simile or Extended Simile

a simile in an epic poem that lasts several lines with elaboration. 

example: “its crackling roots blazed and hissed - as a blacksmith plunges a glowing ax or adze in an ice-cold bath and the metal screeches steam and its temper hardens - that's the iron's strength - so the eye of Cyclops sizzled round that stake” (The Odyssey)

Control

As the sun sets on another day the sky changing from a bright blue to a pinkish purple hue finally transforming into the dark pitch black that veils over this side of the earth hiding all that doesn’t want to be seen. I drive alone with only the voice of the woman on the radio to keep me company. As a song that I’ve listened to countless times before begins to play I turn the volume higher until the melody surrounds me every word of the song weaves itself through my ears in this small enclosed place, I am surrounded. Just like a bee flying and dancing through the air finding a beautiful rose among a crowd of thorns. Filled with a feeling of euphoria, noticing such a treasure. Swiftly swaying towards the red petals landing gently inside then doing what needs to be done she covers herself in the pollen letting the sweet, yellow particles surround her body they stick to her, changing her. She welcomes the bits she is able for a short moment control a small part of the great world she inhabits just as I am able to control a small part of my world as I drive the car and am surrounded by songs that make me feel powerful, significant. I am the star in my car surrounded by the stars in the sky.

Extended similes are allegories, aren't they? Not metaphors.

Women are like felines. Sometimes no matter how viciously you try to fight them off, they cling to what they want. Even when you try to fight it tooth and nail, those damn ladies don't let go. Even when they don't belong, they stake their territory right in your alley and wait for the right moment that you lower your guard so that they can steal what's yours.

The ones I hate the most are the "harmless" ones; the sneaky ones that cozy up to people and look innocent in intent but their actions are laced with meaning. That's like poision. I hate the ones that never learn their boundaries, the ones that cling to what isn't theirs. The unwanted ones that cling with their claws, desperately begging to be wanted.
