ok so if Dashcon 2021 happens, who's gonna hold my hand in the ball pit?
Dear Diary,
If Halloween is a full moon and daylight savings, does that mean there is an extra hour of lunatics?
Just started writing the sequel to Extra Hour and The Struggle To Make These Many Characters Talk and IC is there (:
We're channeling John Singer Sargent's sleepy subjects this morning as we take advantage of this extra Daylight Savings hour. Sargent painted reclining or sleeping figures throughout this career. The rise of leisure—the ability to relax rather than work—was a sign of modernity that Sargent embraced through his depiction of quiet interludes, indoors and out, where figures unwind and take part of the small comforts of life. Here's to embracing modernity (and sleeping in some more).
John Singer Sargent (American, born Italy, 1856-1925). In Switzerland, ca. 1905. Translucent watercolor and graphite and touches of opaque watercolor. Brooklyn Museum, Purchased by Special Subscription, 09.827 and Violet Sleeping, ca. 1907-1908. Translucent and opaque watercolor and graphite, with graphite underdrawing. Brooklyn Museum, Gift of Mrs. Lawrence B. Dunham, 77.145
Welcome to Night Vale didn't show up, so they went to the $17,000 ball pit instead.
