When I redo these homes, I like to keep some of the weird little elements maxis threw in. We kept the 2-level bathroom with skylight, closed off stairwell, and strangely proportioned balcony among other things. That’s the charm. :p

3. Ancient Scotia.
4 & 5. About legendary Albion.
6. Once the hated Romans left, in 410 AD, Britain became a target to migrating tribes.
7. Albion & Eire map.
8. DC Comics's "Justice", with an incredible cover by the amazing Alex Ross!

Pics:
1. Map of Mycenaean Greece (to the left) & Troy (on the upper right).
100,000 Greek fighters in 1,186 ships sailed for Troy - all supposedly to just demand for Helen's return.
But, their armed forces mistakenly 1st landed in Mysia.
A storm sent them back in Greece & Agamemnon has to sacrifice his daughter, Iphigenia, to get to Troy.
(However, this familial sacrifice wasn't in Homer's Iliad.)
2. The Trojan Horse is not mentioned in Homer's Iliad.
And, this ruse is only briefly described in the Odyssey.
The main source for the Trojan Horse story is actually Virgil's "Aeneid" - written some 1,225 years later!!
(Troy's destruction is traditionally dated at 1250 BC. The Aeneid dates to around 25 BC.)
BTW, the Greeks called it "the carved horse."
3. A Christian afterlife map - as hinted at in the Bible.
Most churches don't accept the idea of Purgatory.
And, as for Hell, several Greek & Hebrew words are translated as the Place of the Damned:
3A. Sheol ("Grave, Pit, Death's realm") & Hades ("Unseen? Death" & "Grave") don't usually refer to a prison for dead beings - that's Tartarus.
3B. Gehenna ("hellfire") is actually a dump heap!
Where trash was burned southwest & west of Jerusalem's walls.
3C. Tartarus ("?"), prison of the Titans & abyss for the divine punishments exists below Hades.
4. Gables are a house's open vertical wall, between the slanted triangular roof slabs.
They were first designed to adorn ancient Greek temples.
A jerkinhead is a cross between a half gable, a half hip roof & a clipped wall gable!
5. Site of the Cock Lane 'haunting.'
The place looks like it needs some TLC!
It's a wonder the whole building didn't just collapse into a ruin!!
6. The kind of hijinx that the Cock Lane Ghost was supposedly up to!
7. The location of Leipzig, Germany.
8. The Mystery Flesh Pit "National Park" is actually an ongoing SciFi & Cosmic Horror project by artist Trevor Roberts.
It blends multi-media illustrations, writings & immersive world building!
The backstory is of a colossal, ancient super-organism under Gumption, Texas.
This creature was found during a routine oil excavation.
The company responded by creating a tourist attraction - while the cave was still being drained of raw oil.
On the 4th of July 2007, heavy rain & an electrical short caused the being to swallow whole structures inside of the park!!
Over 750 people died...
Note: Unused snaps for Lovecraft's "The Bookstall."
I was going to erase them but, at the last minute, decided to be a bigger man & share my leftovers.
End.
