stone ocean chapter 103 spoilers below cut
So what are your opinions on the different doctors?
nine is perhaps the best doctor. loved him back in the day, still love him now. the emotional range, the dynamic and engaging personality, the overwhelming aura of camp every other episode had...chefs kiss. love this angry man so burnt out by a lifetime of trauma who is still so fiercely protective of those he holds dear in spite of the infinite cruelty of the universe he has been witness to. would have really liked him to have a solo episode. criminal that he didnāt get another season.
ten is good but the other people around him are consistently more engaging and interesting. as an individual he feels like more of a watered down version of nine. i like the idea of him becoming this kind of godmyth figure of The Doctor and believing his own hype to the point where it eats him alive. the worldbuilding and companions surrounding ten are absolute top tier though.
eleven is dogshit. godawful. irredeemable. trash. seasons 5 through 7 are the most painful slog to endure. steven moffat sucks as a writer and this is the empirical proof. i do not want to think about this doctor any more than i have to.
twelve is...fine i guess? him and clara as a mutually codependent dynamic was enjoyable at moments but the two of them as individuals were not interesting. he had moments of being good but his whole shtick was so bogged down by the swampshit detritus of the moffat era that his character suffered as a result. his best season was season 10 but everything about it was too truncated and i also wish heād have actually cared about bill more. capaldi being a good actor really saved twelve for me.
i actually found myself really liking thirteen. sheās refreshing both as this more lighthearted character and also finally not being a steven moffat creation. itās clumsy as fuck but she works as a trans allegory and for that alone i appreciate her. i think her era could go somewhere really good but the pacing is so painfully slow and i wish she had dedicated season arcs so badly. the deceptively simple dynamic she has with her companions is so interesting in comparison to rtdās melodrama==>apotheosis arcs (really good) and whatever the fuck moffat called his companionsā characterisation (super shit). if she were to snap and go absolutely apeshit i think she might surpass ten in my personal ranking. she has that potential. i would like to see it fulfilled.
Question: What do you mean we're made of waves?
On the small scale, matter can exhibit the properties of waves (microscopic particles can be in a state where they donāt have a definite position but rather are spread out over an area, like a wave), and waves can act like physical particles (which is why we talk about light as both rays, and physical particles called photons). On the larger scale, things start to be more clearly defined, and we simply see things in terms of waves with wave properties and matter that acts like matter. That means itās hard to directly observe this duality outside of a few kinds of experiment, because we are large-scale beings living in a macroscopic world. Itās a little tricky, but itās a concept of quantum mechanics thatās needed to understand the microscopic processes of matter and energy.
Being made of matter weāre no exception, and an emerging field known as quantum biology deals with the quantum side of processes in living beings. An understanding of quantum mechanics gives us new insight into things about the body that have baffled us before.
The post with the bowl is showing standing waves, a kind of wave that can be said to be perfectly looped back on itself, so rather than flowing back and forth like water waves normally would, they seem to be standing still, or flow in symmetrical patterns, making all those freaky-looking ripples. The bowl is perfectly sized to allow such a wave to form. Standing waves donāt just happen in water, though, they also occur in the matter waves relevant to quantum mechanics. Weāre seeing a large-scale version of a small-scale thing that happens, unseeable to us, inside our own bodies in every particle of our being, and I just think thatās pretty neat.
10, 20, 30, 40, 50!
10. Introduce an OC with a complicated design?hmmmmm thats hard bc i dont really?? do complicated designs????? mayb bc of my lazy animator brain??
i guess possibly the rook?? i dont draw them often, mostly bc theyre an npc in my dnd campaign thats still a BIG mystery to the party
20. Do any of your OCs sing? If they sing, care to share more details (headcanon voice, what kind of songs they like etc)?alba sings! her voice is just me but at a lower pitch and more raspy bc i literally play her but she sings shit along the vibe of willow tree march by the paper kites,, shes not a great singer but,,, thats bc im not a great singer ahahaha
30. Which one of your OCs would most likely have a secret stuffed animal collection?definitely the rat
shes obviously made a lil bed of stuffed animals for her rats to sleep in
40. Any fond memories linked to your characters? Feel free to share!honestly just drips entire arc in the storm kings thunder campaign where i played him
he started off as a pretty simple character w no backstory and a single bond to a lost daughter who didnt know him and over the next year and a half he grew into so much more n i miss playing him so much bc hes a good bean,,,
im gonna skip 50 bc babies gotta get ready for uni ;;
š Rosenthal
rosenthal... misses their husband very much. the more time passes, the more they are unsure if he was actually the one who killed their first body. events donāt make sense, thereās a gap in the memory, and, well.
they were together for over six hundred years. they had briarheart. rosenthal wants to believe that meant something to him.Ā
they wear their ring on a string under their shirt.
