the fact that Gideon Lightwood who we never see actually being terrible has more growth than the main character we have seen for three books who has absolutely no growth is INSANE. I’ve always questioned the writing but you really have to question the writing when a character we don’t get introduced as being terrible has more of an arc and development than the main character is very wild. this is why the show and not tell is not in any of the books, but especially TID + TLH. it’s laughable to say “oh you think Gabriel is bad, wait until you meet Gideon” who turns out to be an absolute marshmallow. I am pleased everyday that Tessa left Gabriel and Gideon alone because I don’t want her anywhere near my favorite Lightwood brothers. Gideon really came in with looks like he could kill you, is an absolute marshmallow 🥹

The June ESO Crown Store showcase isn't catching my eye- I think the only thing that stood out to me was the awesome nightmare lion mount. That being said, I already have a nightmare senche mount. Only difference between the two is it lacks a mane, I think? So why would I pay to have a second one that is slightly different?

But tbh, I think this is more the April Crown Store Showcase spoiling me to death so now all future showcases will be a let down.
