Ideas For Your Blue Exorcists OC’s That Are Tamers

Tamers are one of my favorite meisters in the series. So here are some ideas for people to use in creating their blue exorcist orgiiinal characters and fanfiction

Ideas for familiars

I think that there is nothing wrong with your Tamer oc in having a common demon like a hobgoblin as they would grow depending on the summoners strength. Probably about to the size that Behemoth can go to.

I recommend researching preexisting demons from different cultures such as Mesopotamia which haves demons that are widely used in popular culture like Pazuzu. Also don’t forgot that demons are an umbrella term as those that were worshipped as gods have appeared or been used for inspirations for demons in the series such as Indra, Yamantaka, Set, Vayu, ect. .

Monsters that appear in folklore and mythology are also good ideas. Greek Mythology has a ton of figures and beasts that would be great in creating the perfect summon for your tamer oc.

There are also a bunch of animals associated with being a witches familiar such as cats, dogs, frogs, toads, rats, ferrets, and even rarer cases of wasps, sheep, and pigs.

Also if you want to make a particular animal your characters familiar then research how they appear culturally and historically for ideas on their appearance and abilities.

Fanfiction ideas and world building

There are some explanations for the decrease and rarity of tamers in the world of Blue Exorcist that you could use in writing in fanfiction and creating your ocs.

Lineage Based

You could write your fanfictions world that the ability to summon a familiar is connected to a persons ancestry as the notable tamers we see summon demons related to their ancestry are Izumo(she comes from a family of shrine maidens and foxes were some of animals seen as messengers of the gods) and Sheimi( Shemihaza).

Skill Based

Seeing as how it has been stated that tamers that have a natural talent for summoning are rare I see this as an opportunity for people to write about plots where the character has to build up their skill in summoning and developing a relationship with a demon before they allow themselves to be summoned.
