This blog is already 5 years old! I only have like 100 followers but that’s not so bad, you guys are great!

Many of you found me through The Void Rains Upon Her Heart, but I would like to remind you all that TVRUHH was supposed to be a side project to my other game, Eye Attack. Of course TVRUHH exploded into a bigger game than I intended and it has become my current focus, BUT when I’m done I will be getting back to Eye Attack.

Eye Attack will be an action platformer starring a little eyeball with elemental powers. It will delve into the same kind of emotional themes as the story of TVRUHH. The eyeball will even be taking on many of the same monsters that “Her Heart” battles too!

Oh look, Roundsaw is a boss here too!

Eye Attack is still a few years away, but that’s why I’m making TVRUHH. I need to experience actually releasing a game, and I want to establish what levels of weird and feels you can expect from my future games.

Xiren: A cute bundle of pure anxiety. Her blood is electric and she uses it to power all of her towers and robots. A few years ago, I suddenly found myself really wanting to explore some human emotions with my game, so I made up a few, emotionally unstable, alien angels. I guess I had been bottling up all of my feelings and anger over the years and luckily it exploded into creativity. I have anxiety about pretty much everything. I get it when going to new places. I just generally have it when I'm out in public. I still get anxiety posting stuff on here or anywhere. But it's all this anxiety that inspired Xiren.

Eyeden will be able to hold and switch between 2 powers at a time. Originally I was going to make 2 classes of powers and only one of each could be equipped, but I just decided to scrap that and let you hold any 2 powers. I realized that I could make better challenges if you could hold any combination of powers.

The idea was that there would be a class of powers that would regenerate energy by itself. The other class of powers would not regenerate energy so they had to be used more carefully. These would only recharge with certain pickup items.

They will all regenerate energy in their own ways now. For example, both Waterwhip and Magma Shot (shown above) will recharge slowly after not attacking for a few seconds, but they will regenerate much faster if Eyeden holds still.
