out of curiosity, how many vtuber/pngtuber models do you have? i feel like every time i see you you're sporting a new face and im curious what the collection looks like.
OH. Oh that is actually a very complicated question, because, you see, the collection certainly,... looks.
Now, I have to first and foremost address this: I only actually have 1 (ONE!) actual Live2D vtube studio model!
It's the floating head one!
Note the blue background for greenscreening, because green is not an option, since the skintone is green
This model was rigged by Tia Singer, based on the source art by me, and features such wonderfull things as Creepy AF eyes and teeth as well as BRAIN JIGGLE PHYSICS!
I love it with a burning passion, and I owe Tia my whole ass life for going out on the limb for me and straight up GIFTING ME multiple hundreds of dollars worth of work just because we're friends.
This is all to say I can't actually rig myself, though I can draw - which will come up later!
With that in mind, did you know that once you have a Live2D model, you can just swap the texture file it's referencing and it will just put new textures on the same model??
So yeah, at multiple points I have just went into the files and tweaked this model. The screenshot up there is technically 0.2 already, because the original? that one was EVEN WORSE!!
The eyes were cloudy and the bone tail had its own physics, thanks for asking XD
People freaking HATED this one, in part because folks already get uncanny valley issues with vtubersr, and my creepy art didn't help. So I modified it quite a few times
And I still quite like it! I would be using or upgrading it if not for the ridiculous drain on the CPU that anything with webcam tracking entails.
I eventually even started offloading that workload onto my laptop, and GUESS WHAT, the laptop just shut down mid-stream one day and stopped working altogether!! XD
So with the CPU load being the main enemy, I have switched from Vtube Studio to VeadoTube. Which is a very lightweight little program which does precisely one thing: it displays a picture and changes it to a different one when you speak.
The up side? No performance impact, and also NO RIGGING NEEDED!
Which is when I started pumping out Sloysonas like nobody's business.
left to right here: the Sloy head that was just a fugitech reactive pic I was using to live on Tia's and Lyarrah's desks, the more round guy I actually used for a couple videos, and what may be the first iteration of Sloy Head WITH HAIR!
The middle one was actually a part of a set I made of Tia, me, Silent, Pixlriffs and Lyarrah, just so that the reactive images of my friends were stylistically matching on my side of the stream! They've since used them for stuff I think
I like my friends, okay. I like making stuff for them.
So that was pretty much The Head Era, which obviously could not last, because it's hard to be a hot anime girl when you're just a head.
So the Sloynening soon devolved into game-specific or otherwise sacreligious PNGs! Chief among them, of course,..
HATSUNE MIKU THE ELDEN RING PRISONER
This was a basic model made specifically for our Elden Ring Streams with Pixlriffs. It sucked but so did playing a souls game for the first time in my life. I loved every minute of it I miss having an extra day to hang out with Pix in my week rraaaaaaaaaaahhh!!
There was however another game-specific Sloy modification, that a lot of people know and (I think?) love. Because of course, shortly before the Elden Ring obsession,..
I got obsessed with the PowerWash Simulator. The least said here, the better, really. Jury is still out on which one of these is more cursed, but hey, the Powerwash one came with a mildly animated Starting Soon screen! That's.. something?
Naturally, still being primarily a Minecraft personality [citation fucking needed], I also tried to make a Minecraft-specific picture, which to my deepest dread, resulted in...
..the motherfucker.
I have no other word for this atrocious child, and it is only the sunk cost fallacy that prevents me from SHIFT+DELETing him off my harddrive. I liked this model the day I made it and never again. Something within it stirs me exactly the wrong way. Behind that smug grin hides a spark of a being deeply, inexplainably antithetical to me. I hate this idiot more than anything I've drawn, and I will never forgive myself for birthing him into the world.
Luckily, these past glories inevitably led to the most current iteration of Slobert.PNG, that being this goofus!
Yes, the skintone is.. ZombieCleo adjacent, which I refuse to be ashamed of any more. The color scheme has been toned the heck down away from the in-game steampunk Minecraft Zombie, the outfit is lighter and there's HAIR but like. Good hair. For once.
It feels ME, a lot. It feels the most Me, since Sloytsune Miku.
So we will be seeing a lot more of this one, unless I decide to redraw it from scratch to add more poses or port it to Rahituber (a programm that has more options for vocal tracking and mouse tracking and stuff)
Also quick shoutout to Kufta the Cult Of The Lamb model, whose files I utterly failed to locate today. You are the real one, please come home!!

A xenogender relating to the experience of feeling like an electric volt of energy is running through your veins, in the way a plasma ball has energy running through it. A robotic feeling in which you feel alive in another way, not with a soul, but powered by the world. Suggestions for pronouns include volt/volts or other electrical/robotic pronouns.
This flag's colors don't have much meaning aside from being inspired by images of plasma balls seen online.
