I've been working on them for forever, and I was a little discouraged when "Maul: Shadow Lord" came out, because of the similar concept with Devon. But I ultimately decided that it didn't really matter, so I'm so excited to finally be posting her.
Their story is subject to change, but this is the basic gist of what I want to happen.

So, I was reading this article [link] about the rates of crime targeted against trans people.
And that led me to look at the original study [link], and holy shit, the immediate exorsexism.
So, basically...they categorized all non-binary people into "trans men" and "trans women" categories. And they are malgendering cis enben [link] by forcing them to identify themselves as trans.
Because the NCVS doesn't recognize non-binary people.
What the fuck.
Think about this every time you see statistics about trans & gender diverse people. How many of them are being misgendered because they don't have the options to input their own identities? How many of them have to misgender themselves to have their voices heard?

For anyone wondering why there's so little studies and reports of people outside of the gender binary, this is why
Saw Iain Mccaig's Maul again and needed to draw about those feelings. I forgot about what its like to draw traditionally, having no control of what stands out overal, drawing what stands out in the moment. You can never make it one to one. It always exposes your perception, even if its in the most minute details, as this painting exposed my love for details in facial expressions. After seeing the sketches i was frantically searching for something that would quell my need to draw this beautiful muse in a way that the original concept artist must have found beautiful. I settled on a screenshot of his face. It seemed subtle enough, not wrinkled by a scowl. I did as you do, draw, look back, draw, look back. The more times i looked back the more i thought on the downturned eyes and the subtle longing and fixated on how the face would respond to that emotion.

I wish we gotten the original design for the city in season 4, imagine that cool little details that Reginald owned everything? It would’ve been really interesting as to what he changed. Honestly would’ve been a huge hint of dictatorship.

I just wanted to give a heads up: I cannot make myself go back through the s4 transcripts to make the silly quotes polls for those eps, so we're gonna do something a little different! We'll be taking the winning quotes from each ep for each season and pitting them against each other (ex: all the winning quotes from the s1 eps against each other). Then, we'll put the winning quote from each season (1, 2, and 3) against one another to find the best one! So, be on the look out for that :)
