Meeting the Master (Maylene & Marshal)
"Wow!" Maylene said in amazement as she walked on Unova's Victory Road. She rarely went outside of Veilstone City, or her gym for that matter, so this was super exciting to her. As soon as she was able to get some time off she hopped on the nearest boat to Unova. And just as she had been told, it was a beautiful region.
But the main reason for coming was not the sights, or Victory Road itself. No, her goal was much bigger than that. Her goal was to see the person she idolized more than any other fighting type trainer; Elite Four member, Marshal.
A big grin spread across her face as she went further on the road. The excitement in her was building up more and more with every new step. To be honest though, she actually wasn't sure if she'd get to see him or not. He could be off training, or eating lunch. It was just that time of day. But she knew it would be worth it if she could at least see him in person for once in her life.
She, of course, would love to meet him if she could, but since she wasn't here to battle she was unsure of whether or not she'd be able to actually meet him. It sounded too good to be possible anyway. He was a busy man after all, and she didn't want to bother him.
Maylene was so deep in thought that she had only now noticed that she had walked in on a training session. And guess who she saw.
