PRE UPDATE THOUGHTS ABOUT BEAST YEAST 12 (and what I hope is in it)
Some of these are predictions on my little bingo card, others are comments from my peanut gallery
Salt Cellar Cookie’s name isn’t her real name, rather I think it’s a place and she’s just the cookie that lives in the salt cellar (because there are other places in the catacombs with salt in their place description, like in those missions you could earn light of silence from). She’s IN the salt cellar.
Salt also plays a key role in corpse preservation, which could explain why her mortal body’s still functioning—but essentially, it seems like she was brought back from the dead. ALSO too much salt consumption can cause high blood pressure & heart problems (which symbolically speaking is its own thing) but it can also cause problems in the eyes, which it doesn’t seem like SCC can use one
I think WL’s gonna be the first ancient to REALLY get through to their ancient, she’s so similar to SSC and SSC still has a sense of morality & justice, only problem being that he can’t let go. What he needs to realize is that eternal self destruction is not the answer to atonement diva it is FORGIVENESS AND LOVE!!! THATS THE PATH TO FREEDOM AND CHANGING THE WORLD and I think WL’s gonna actually make him realize that. Punishing yourself doesn’t change anything—the only thing you can do is move forward like I understand you hurt people I understand it was bad and you did bad things but nothing’s going to change unless you choose to move forward and heal THATS THE PATH TO FREEDOM YOU STUPID SLUT!!!!! go WL go
i have a feeling there’s going to be another callback to the beasts—idk I just FEEL it in my bones that theyre going to canonically interact on screen rather than kingdom talk. I want to see how SS felt about them in terms of personal relationship rather than ancient duty heehee
If there is an interaction with them inside the silver tree bless my wondrous baka life
Same thing goes for ancients! WL dawnbreaker voice lines in the trailer have called back to their virtues a lot so I’m hoping WL finally has a moment with ALL of them
In the very rare instance that there’s a silent salt face reveal I hope it’s either 1) very scarred and obviously maimed from battle or 2) he literally doesn’t have a space and is some spectral spirit (IM BETTING ON THAT ONE!!). Idk please god don’t make him conveniently attractive narratively it wouldnt make sense. there was that one kingdom voice line with shadmilk and I just feel like any physical remnant of what he used to be long rotted or never existed (but going off voice lines if his dough was “made anew” I’m assuming there’s nothing under allat. Still hot btw who said that)
