Your post about all the horrible things people say about Nolan is just so heartbreaking. I remember making the same mistake of reading comments about him before and people really dig up awful things to say about a player bc of their bad performances or being out long term or whatnot. I think it also may stem from his draft number. People tend to see a high draft number and think that equals instant NHL success and an instant turnaround for the franchise. They put the whole weight on this one player. So many fans are like that that I have seen in the past. I once saw Kings fans make comments that Quinton Byfield was picked second over in the draft as a PR move and not bc he's actually any good and that the team should've gone with Tim Stützle instead but they didn't bc of the color of Quinton's skin and how good that would make the team look. People are disgusting and lack empathy when they're behind a screen talking about things that they pretend affects them personally.

although i’d hate to see him leave this team, i just want him to be happy. as long as he’s getting the support he needs and is being treated like a human being (lol philly fans, do better <3), i’m okay with him and the flyers parting ways.

it’ll definitely still make me cry my fucking eyes out, but i’ll come around eventually lol
