good morning everyone i have a Lot of thoughts about the game last night and the season in general. it's so over y'all. it's never been more over.
kevin patullo's playbook is genuinely trash from the gutter, from the routes to the plays to the sequencing it's just bad
like we're running hitch routes at a historic rate, it is a huge nothingburger of a playbook i truly believe that
due to said trash playbook and playcalling, defenses just straight up have their number. receivers have been so covered it's laughable
how many games can a team get highly motivated for when they're generally succeeding in spite of the playbook, not because of it??
and then they get these gross ass plays to jalen so late he has approximately no time for pre-snap adjustments. like we snap the ball with maybe 1 second left nearly every time, it makes me want to pull my hair out
o-line is still beat up from last year, and not one of them has been consistently up to snuff even without that basically ever this season. fuck jalen and saquon lives apparently, can't have shit in the backfield in these conditions (and i still see ppl saying we have an elite o-line... idk who they're watching but it's surely not this group)
the penalties every fucking game just killing any production from the offense feel like a fun little fuck you to the fans. like yeah we're trash AND we don't gaf enough to focus or be disciplined, go birds!! tough detailed together
that's the part that loses me with all of them. play like shit, fine, rough games happen and injuries are lingering, i can give them grace bc i love the team. fuck us over on penalties week in and week out on top of that? get out of my face Right now.
jalen hurts has been slowly losing it this whole season and he nearly had a nervous breakdown on national television last night, i need someone to give him a hug and ask if he's okay. i actually will 100% admit my bias here i #stand with jalen i think he's the primary victim of this coaching MALPRACTICE and as such i will give him however much grace i care to and i won't be dissuaded
they refuse to play to his strengths (stats on shotgun vs under center will make a man homicidal) and they're giving him no time to make adjustments before the play clock runs out and we run the same 5 routes on every pass play and when he puts a ball right in the bucket the receivers don't pull it in and i just think that maybe most of that isn't his fault.
idk how to account for the 4 interceptions but i will. just give me a few days i'll be defending jalen hurts with a personal best level of delusion and bias, i never gave a fuck actually.

2 collapses in 3 years, both his handpicked coordinators complete ass, can't call plays or take control of the offense when needed, primary use/strength seems to be team culture/vibes and We've Experienced The Vibes So Far
but also we've been to the superbowl twice in 4 years. won not even a year ago.
basically i have no fucking clue how to feel about sirianni and his coaching. he should NOT be allowed to pick coordinators ever again, though. ever. and if he then has no offensive power like... what Does he have, genuinely...
kp cannot stay oc. he's not the only person responsible but this is untenable and he's the biggest most obvious change from last year so i think reversing that and seeing how all the other issues are affected/if they get better is the way to go. jalen will unfortunately have yet Another new oc so that's epic, but the kp experiment was a total failure and a new oc cannot be worse than a patullo offense. genuinely Everyone's regression under kp should be studied.
frankly i think if we can field a defense of this caliber again next year (I BELIEVE IN US TO DO THIS) the offense only has to be good enough to not fuck them over for us to be serious contenders. surely we can get even just a fucking competent oc who wants to come to philly and work with this roster?? like if we actually fucking interviewed someone instead of nick sirianni hiring his bestie sight unseen we could have avoided all this bullshit from the start bc the job cant be that unattractive??? but WHATEVER
in conclusion, the only thing left i even care to hope for in the rest of the season is a q pick 6. otherwise i feel nothing for this bullshit and i am unmoved by failure going forward. abandon all hope, etc
