Not the greatest pictures but here’s the fox skull my sister got me.
ive gained: a new antler rack (curtesy of my dog) and a partial groundhog (also curtesy of my dog)
and whitened my snapper, fox, and deer finally! the fox actually needs a bit more degrease so i’ll do that when i get the chance :p
got a fox pelt from @flannelfoxen and he is so plush and soft!!
This isnt going to be his permanent spot, ill have find a good permanent place for him.
Found a the second dead fox of the month, there was antifreeze poured down a drain near my town and already killed a fox that drank the water. Guessing this dude died the same way.
Also looks like it's been a week at least but not sure.
took a trip again yesterday as it wasn’t too hot out!
two mice, left both
a young red fox, skull intact but tons of maggots, took two paws
two magpies right next to each other behind a crash barrier, took both
I’m working on one magpie today, also a crow, buzzard and two guinea pigs, so watch out for updates!
Grim gardener.
(inspired by gigi’s lab)
A cleanup I did for a friend, the fox was originally roadkill found many years ago by her grandfather and he mounted it.
It'd been left in a spare room and forgotten for a few years. I didnt think about it so I didnt take a before picture, but he was very dusty and grimy and had fallen off the log hes mounted on.
I cleaned him up and reattached him to the wood and then glued on the fake foliage bc why not.
(This is my second old taxidermy clean up, I am v inexperienced so I didnt fix any of the issues with the actual mount)
