What was trial by fire about? I remember the username but I suck at remembering fic titles.
It was a Russtappen 'murder mystery' type of fanfic (not exactly, but close enough), it starts with Max saying in an interview that he'll make sure neither McLaren finishes the next race, and then both McLaren drivers end up hospitalized. I won't spoiler anything even if I'll never find again, but then George has to defend Max legally, and there's a lot of forced proximity between them as the story progresses and they try to investigate who actually did it.
