Sacrifice | Lost connection | Ghost x Reader

Chapter 3

He was in his thoughts, sitting at the table with his team, but yet his eyes were directed towards you. Everyone noticed that, so Price warned him few times to not stare at you, but he didn't even noticed Price was talking to him.

"Sergeant L/N, do you have any problem with TF141?"

"No."

"Then way does Ghost stare at you, ma'am? He's been staring for long time at you."

"As much as he doesn't touch me or anyone else, I don't mind. He can stare for a thousand years if he wants." you answered coldly, but yes, you didn't mind at all. As soon as you said that, the siren turned on. The battle was in the skies, so it was your squadron's call. It's your first battle as the flight leader.

Four F16 Fighting Falcons and one F15 Eagle were prepared in hangar, so you jumped in F15 and waited to get you and your team on the runway. Just as they got you out, you got your way to the skies, ready for quick battle.

Ghost's POV

After their take off, everyone got on their positions. S-400 ( Russian missile system ) were ready, Bofors 40mm on hold. It was only a matter of time when will the attack start, but luckily the defense in the skies was strong, but only four aircrafts came back. All four of them were F16. Then we heard that Y/N saved her squad member from XMAA missile by flying right between her squad member and missile, and she took the shot.

Two hours have passed and they called us. TF141 has a mission called Phoenix, and it's saving Sgt. L/N before enemies come to her. We got an information from her, through comms.

"𝐼 𝑑𝑜𝑛'𝑡 𝑘𝑛𝑜𝑤 𝑤ℎ𝑒𝑟𝑒 𝐼 𝑎𝑚, 𝑏𝑢𝑡 𝐼 ℎ𝑜𝑝𝑒 𝑡ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝐺𝑃𝑆 𝑖𝑠 𝑠𝑡𝑖𝑙𝑙 𝑤𝑜𝑟𝑘𝑖𝑛𝑔...... 𝐼 𝑐𝑎𝑛'𝑡 𝑚𝑜𝑣𝑒 𝑎𝑙𝑜𝑛𝑒, 𝑚𝑦 𝑙𝑒𝑓𝑡 𝑙𝑒𝑔 𝑖𝑠 𝑑𝑖𝑠𝑎𝑏𝑙𝑒𝑑..... 𝐼 ℎ𝑎𝑣𝑒 𝑒𝑛𝑜𝑢𝑔ℎ 𝑓𝑜𝑜𝑑 𝑓𝑜𝑟 3 𝑑𝑎𝑦𝑠." We could only understand 3 main sentences, but everything else was cracked.

We started preparing for the mission, but I was always distracted by the thought that is constantly going through my mind: If we don't get there in time, I will loose her again, but this time forever.
